Right, I have been referred here by a friend. I would like a new computer, one that can run Garry's mod, Oblivion etc but nothing anywhere near as advanced as Crysis. I'm pretty much a computer building newbie, and don't know the first thing about doing it, so if anyone could help it'd be greatly appreciated. I already have a keyboard, cd drive and a mouse. (although I need a new one) tl;dr: I need a new computer, and don't know shit. HELP! EDIT: In England, want to run, as I said, Garry's mod, Oblivion those kinds of things. Have a place to get Windows 7. Have a moniter I could use. EDIT ADDENDUM: These are the links I've been able to find. Can someone look through and see if it's any good? budget, location, do you need a monitor, os, etc
budget, location, do you need a monitor, os, etc
Unsure of budget, but will probably be around £200-£300 Already have a place to get Windows 7 And I'm in Liverpool
Just steal one, isn't that what liverpudlians do anyway? I kid, I kid, scousers are amazing, you brought us John Bishop, but seriously though, you won't get much for 300 mate, you're talking 500-600 for a decent rig.

Aah, just source games, my bad.
http://www.scan.co.uk/savedbasket/3a3dbbd3bf2b4ff9b9041fbcc02f5b60 £315 with delivery, make sure to remove scansure wait for someone else to have a look at this, there's probably a better CPU/GPU for this budget (maybe an X3) but to be honest I'm not great with lower budget stuff like this if you want a new mouse go with http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-MX518-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B0015R8M7U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1294974231&sr=8-1
You will be better off saving a little bit more. £400 would be much more adequate.
If he could afford another £5 on top of reapaninja's build he could go down to an x3 and get a 5750
Thanks for all the help, and as I said I'm unsure of what the final budget will be. I'll probably be using Birthday money, so I'm not really sure on how much I'll get.
When is your birthday?
When is your birthday?
25th April, so a while away.

You should let this thread die and come back to it when you have a proper budget. There's no point making a build now if you could get a lot more money, also price parts can change a lot in a short space of time
