Thoughts so far?
Oh god no stop before you ruin it
I'll hold my breath until I see video of it but I don't have high hopes
we all know what they really should do
rugrats all as old diaper wearing senile's
rugrats all as old diaper wearing senile's
but it would just be the same show.

:glare:
natural progression of "All grown up" would be going back into being diaper wearing seniles
The rugrats always had such a nice, hand drawn art style, I can't wait to be disappointed by a flash animated reboot.
I just want good new original content
Rick and Morty is proof that it can work

There's tons of new original content.
Just because there's a few reboots doesn't mean nothing new is being made.
Nickelodeon despite rebooting Rugrats premiered both 'Harvey Beaks' and 'Pig Goat Banana Cricket' last year. The former of which is great.
All grown up was awful and there's no reason in my mind to believe why this would be any better
It won't be the same if they can't get the old voices back. Fortunately even Michael Bell (Drew Pickles, Chaz Finster and more) is still a voice acting powerhouse despite being 77 so there's hope they'll get some, if not everyone to return.
Calling it, the revival will have the original characters as adult parents and the new toddlers would be their children.

I'm just saying diaper wearing seniles aren't any different from diaper wearing babies. :v:
They must be really hurting for ratings if they're resorting to the "only 90s kids remember" crowd
They better do this completely RIGHT. Doing anything wrong will cause the show to fail. And knowing Nick's track record with animation as of late:

I don't trust them to handle it even remotely right. Either do it hand drawn (or in the very least take their time and make good flash animation) with the original voice actors or don't bother doing it at all.
Sanjay and Craig wasn't that bad from what I saw.
i sure hope it's at least as good as the seminal classic, fanboy and chum-chum
That's because they don't make any money on anything snymore. Nobody watches Nick

Their teen shows have to be making some cash or else they wouldn't keep making them.
oh and the Spongebob marathons they have everyday.

I-...I would watch that.....
Like that could actually work well enough to have the old cues and familar feeling and format but refreshing without jumping the gun and having it go from babies to middle schoolers.
Also are we in the fucking 90's again? Full House is on netflix and rugrats is coming back.

That actually wouldn't be bad at all as long as they keep to the original art style.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nickelodeon sees Cartoon Network doing stuff like Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls again and decides to stop trying to emulate their glory days and start trying to drag the rest of it back from the grave. Maybe they'll reboot Danny Phantom or some shit, only terrible.

Welp, looks like I called it. And man, I can't wait to not watch this :v:
Why is Nick like an ICU for dying shows
Why must they hurt me in this way
Nickelodeon really likes to drag corpses as far as they can go, see: spongebob, fairly odd parents
Do a lot of kids still watch Nick, or really that much TV? I don't know anymore kids, but it feels like the internet is becoming the main source of media.

I think kids still definitely watch Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents even if they're worse now. But I think the audience is probably staying at a very low age and I think the real cartoon channel that everybody, especially older kids and up, are watching right now is Cartoon Network. I think to be honest if it weren't for the people like younger kids and parents who aren't really familiar with how the shows declined and don't really care and if spongebob and fairly oddparents viewership declined, the channel would have to shrink massively or shut down.
Their best shows are just kind of average and I just do not see something as uninspired as Sanjay and Craig looks to be carrying a network.
I think the best possible thing Nickelodeon could do to get back in the game is to stop with the weird CGI shows and live action sitcoms, condense their network down to one or two channels, because seriously there's like 8 fucking channels and I have no idea what any of them are for, and not copy but learn from their competitors by starting to make cartoons that aim for an older demographic and aren't afraid to have things like story and character arcs and emotional moments and very dark moments while slowly phasing out the old standbys. I mean a huge part of why shows like Steven Universe are so good is because the characters actually grow and change and gain depth as the show goes on and they're not stuck in this flanderized stasis.

Young kids eat up everything on nick jr. So probably yes.
