This has been a humbling experience and highlighted how we as a studio can - and need - to do better for Xbox fans around the world. We are so grateful to our fans who have stood by our side and we appreciate all of your patience as we worked through these issues. As a token of our appreciation and to thank fans for the continued support and understanding, we will be offering the following items, for free, to anyone who has played Halo: The Master Chief Collection online since launch (11.11.14) through today (12.19.14).*
- 1 Month of Xbox Live Gold
- Exclusive In-Game Nameplate
- Exclusive In-Game Avatar

Additionally, you've told us that you want more Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer map content and Halo 3: ODST on Xbox One. As a future bonus, we're going to make these happen and give them to you for free. We are just now starting work with our partners to bring both to Halo: The Master Chief Collection and will share more specific details on timing in the coming months. But for now, here's what you can expect:
- Halo 3: ODST Campaign - Development has just started on the campaign for Halo 3: ODST, which will be available within Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and upgraded to 1080p resolution, running at 60fps. It will be available for free to anyone who has played Halo: The Master Chief Collection since launch (11.11.14) through today (12.19.14).* Thanks to our friends at Bungie for creating the original "Halo 3: ODST" campaign.
- "Relic" Halo 2: Anniversary Multiplayer Map - Available via a free content update to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, we will reimagine the fan-favorite map "Relic," fully remastered and running at 1080p resolution and 60fps. We chose this map based on its suitability for Slayer and Objective modes and its ability to support teams of varying sizes. And you can trust that Certain Affinity will tune and tweak the map to make it even better than you remember.
Reach and Turf remade when?

Soon, if this is anything to go by. They acknowledged the amount of requests for ODST and Reach lesson up to launch. If they're making ODST now then I bet it won't be long for Reach.
Man, I loved ODST's campaign. Shame it's often overlooked.
And the little side story you find across New Mombasa was pretty cool for how it tied into the main storyline if you found them all. Not to mention the awesome soundtrack, great cast, and how atmospheric it felt.
Much respect for them owning up to the terrible launch issues.
God damn I started playing it an hour after the 19th. Now when I buy an Xbox One bundle, it gets reduced by £30 :v:
as far as I know it's still the 19th in america so you'll probably get it
The FAQ says 12/19/14 23:59 Pacific time, so you're fine.
Anyone who plays it within the next 2 hours while connected to X-box live will get it.
Whoa, that's actually super awesome. Yeah the multiplayer is still broken (I think? I haven't tried it for a while) but damn this is a pretty good make-up gift. I LOVED ODST's campaign.

4 hours*
That's one hell of a way to make up for launch issues.
This is how it's done Ubisoft.

To be fair, giving out a game as new as Far Cry 4 (which is actually pretty good) for free, and running a feed dedicated to listing the ways they're working to fix the game is a pretty good way to make amends.
Holy shit. YES.
ODST is my favorite out of the Halo games.
Awesome! i just started playing it today actually, what a bonus!

But it isn't free. The people bought a season pass for $30 that got cancelled. The cost of Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity and The Crew are $32.00 through a wholesaler and that's a physical copy.
Also in order to redeem your game, you need to sign a contract that says you won't sue Ubisoft for selling a product that never came to be.
I'm still a little sore about what happened with Martin O'Donnell, his soundtrack for ODST was one of my favorites.
I wouldn't mind having issues with MCC for an entire year to get Reach
im so happy right now
I'd buy two copies if it wasn't on the Xbox One; alas they're missing out on a huge customer base.
ODST was my favorite Halo game behind Reach. I'm really excited for this, and for the possibility of Reach being remade now.
Oh my god, ODST drop pod launch in glorious 60fps.
I was about to download this but then I realized I need to play the game today, and it will take a few hours to update :(
Aw hell yeah.
Now I really hope I'm eligible because I haven't even touched the multiplayer yet.
Wondering this too. They say those "to anyone who has played Halo: The Master Chief Collection online since launch" but I'm wondering if it means on Xbox Live or in multiplayer.
