I got a good offer, I can get an Ipad 2 16gb with 3G for the price of one without, but I don't need the 3G. I can just buy it and not use it, right?
Buy it, sell it, buy one without.
It's impossible to get an iPad in Denmark at the moment, I don't know how long it'll be before I can get one in the stores, but I was lucky to get this offer, it's still in the original packaging and everything, so I'll stick with it if it's no problem with the 3G
iirc if there isnt a sim card in it, its basically just a wifi ipad
The 3G iPads are the only ones with a proper GPS chip in it, so you should keep it. Also yeah there is no need to have a 3G plan with it.
if it's for the price of one without 3G, why not just skip buying it and just directly buy the one without 3G?

perhaps i'm misunderstanding something but i can't think of any point in you buying it.
WiFi + 3G is price X, WiFi only is price Y
you're offered a WiFi + 3G model at price Y, yes?
why not just get a WiFi model from Apple directly, then? doesn't make any sense to me

I would have to wait several weeks for it, I can get this 3G model on monday/tuesday if I want to.
why several weeks?
It's sold out.
There's an option in the settings that turns off cellular data, which turns it into an iPad WiFi
