• What are good earbuds to buy?

Hello, I am looking for a pair of earBUDS that have specific qualities. I want a good tone range, as in good basd but will not sound bad when the song gets in the higher registers. I do want it to not be rather expensive, yet I want it to be rather long lasting going through a bit of roughness. I just wish for some good opinions, as I am not very well learned in the matters of sound equipment. Thank you.

Skullcandy break rather quickly. I own that same pair already posted but they're alright.
These have a very nice tone range. Especially the bass! http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-XB20EX-Sensitivity-Driver-Earbuds/dp/B001RB24TG/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1265099096&sr=8-5
Well if you can, get these. A mate of mine has them and they're amazing. But if you don't feel like spending much and want a good long lasting pair, get these.
Thanks guys, this is very nice! As of the moment I think I will stick with the Sennheiser CX300, unless a better one comes up.

Those 80 dollar ones are way out f budget, even if I saved up. Ultimate Ears seem to have some problems but thank you both anyways.
i know they are way out of your budget, but I've used these for a while and they are amazing. I did have to put my Ipod on Bass Reducer though, but with that they sound amazing.
Yeah... ):
Had a $40 pair break on me on the 4th day of owning them. Was total bullshit so I brought them back and got some Sony's.
Seinheiser PX500's are the bomb.
Seinheiser PX500's are the bomb.
No. Sennheiser HD 800's are the bomb.

They're also $1400 so don't even start talking about them because I know none of you have even tried them on.
I use SkullCandy buds and I've had them for months now with no problems. I guess you've just got to take really good care of them, otherwise they short out.

When I was gettin' them i thought, "I don't really need all that bass." But it really helps music sound, I don't know... Full i guess. Everything is really clear. Also, If you have annoying parents/siblings/roommates, you can't hear a damn thing with these in. Mine came with a pretty nice leather (maybe fake, don't really care) case that keep them from getting all tangled up by the knot-goblins. Sales pitch aside, is it just me or is Sony kinda underrated in the audio equipment field? I mean, sure they won't give you an eargasm like Bose, but at least they're affordable by people other than Bill Gates.
CX300s are great for the money, I had a pair for ages until one ear suddenly went quieter. Took them back to the shop to swap them and they only had CX300-IIs in stock, so I had those instead. Still using them, not much of a difference really, CX300-IIs are probably a slightly more comfortable fit in the ear (but more expensive). CX300s are a great choice, IMO.
I have a pair of Sony MDR-EX90LPs, they're great, the best earphones I've ever used by far. It has an amazing range and sound. http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&langId=-1&productId=11038874&storeId=10151

I wonder if this is a problem with the CX series but even so i'm probably going to get a pair of CX300's.
