Now, let's imagine, that for some reason, that you guys are the head of your the UN, and about to make some drugs legal, what drugs would they be and why?
Cannabis: It's being Discussed many, many times. I would make The Union required viewing in schools, i would also offer cash grants for currently Illegal growers to set up their own farms if they wish. I would also put in control regulations.
Mushrooms/Magic Mushrooms/Shrooms: I think these should be legal, mostly because they are less harmful then weed, and would sort out a lot of problems.
Salvia: It's almost legal everywhere. Just making sure it is. It's not very harmful or addictive.
Your thoughts?
I might revise my previous answer. Legalize most drugs. Except things like Heroin, possibly meth/crack and anything else that is extremely harmful. Shit like cocaine would be legal in controlled circumstances. I may be misinformed, as it's hard to know after the Government has lied for so long. People would be more likely to listen if the government was telling the truth all the time. And the health teachers in school would teach safe using of drugs. We would also need to find a way to stop the dickheads taking E twice a week, ruining their serotonin levels, and trying to get shit banned.
Splice E (I fucking love Bioshock) with that drug that helps replenish serotonin. Although, i think Cigarettes should be illegal, for the simple fact that after a while, when people get sick. It puts a huge fucking weight on the public health system, costing taxpayers millions.
If I was the head of UN I would legalise all drugs. I would make it so that there were clinics to administer drugs that are easy to overdose on.
Also if you wanted to use drugs you had to get a drug licence that you would have to pay per month for and also have to pass an exam on all the drugs that you will want to be able to use so that everyone fully knows the consequences of what drugs they will be doing therefore making most people use them responsibly.
Also, because you will be paying per month you would be able to go to rehab for free any time, however if you went to rehab too much you would have your drug licence suspended for a certain period of time.
I would also make it so that there would be different classes of drugs on the liscence, so that if you use more addictive drugs you would have to pay a bit more each month for your drug licence. I would also make it so that it took a log of drugs you would buy so that potential addicts could be approached by a drug rehabilation worker (I would make this a job) and be assesed on whether they need help or not.
And that is what I would do if I had the power to do that. Sorry for the long post it all kinda flowed.
I`d legalize only weed, lsd, mushrooms, ecstasy and salvia. They'd be available on any store that sells beer, 18+.
I would decriminalize marijuana completely (worst that can happen is a small fine), and make it legal for medicinal use only.
I would legalize LSD, it's just a drug that has the potential to gain knowledge and solve problems. I would regulate it to where certain people who want to synthesize it, have to pay a bunch of money to get licenses for the chemicals, and have testing labs to make sure it's a certain purity before it goes out to consumers.
All legal, everything everywhere.
Only then we'll truly see how it's gonna work out for us, be it for the worse or the better.

I think.. :raise:
Weed and most psychedelics as psys are given a bad name from retards who can't handle their own ego and blame the dug.
In my opinion:
Cannabis should be legal and industrialized at it's full potential since it is one of the most useful crops on the face of the earth. As a drug, it may not be good for everybody, but it's not a crime.
All psychedelics should be freely available for adults since they are not harmful for the body nor addictive at all. And if you can't handle them, you'll find out anyway.
Research chemicals available online only so you need a credit card and internet connection and physical address to buy them (and thus not be a hobo)
I'm not too sure about other drugs... Hard to speak about something I've never even tried.
A good EDUCATION policy is the best way to reduce harm caused by drugs.
everything legal, anything illegal creates curiousity for the users and a black market for the pushers. these black markets also deal with guns and woman trade just to name a few.
Legalise everything, and make drug help centres and such.
Make everything legal but put an age limit on it so people dont bitch, like with alcohol and cigs. Decreases the whole "rebel" act for kids and weed/shrooms/anything, while encouraging proper and safe use of those drugs. obviously people under that age would be pissed but if anything it would be even easier for them to acquire such drugs. not to mention weed at an early age is pretty bad for your brain's development anyway, just like ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES

This for sure, but i would make it 21+
It's legal to consume alcohol and tobacco at the age of 16 in the Netherlands. I'd say make it 18+ since you're already considered an adult and have the right to vote.
Legalize everything except for pot. Just for shits and giggles.
Legalize everything, but you must be 18+ to buy or possess. If you're allowed to vote and die for your country at 18, you should be allowed to put whatever you want in your body.

even bombs
All drugs should be legalised with levels of regulation based upon the harms of that drug e.g. Cannnabis and psilocybin available from liscened coffee shops and dispensaries to those over 18, then heroin available to over 18s but only in highly controlled environments. No drugs should be illegal as prohibition doesn't work and only makes them more harmful whilst giving huge sums of money to organized crime.
Basically what everyone else is saying, legalize and control.
Some stronger, prescription painkillers would be nice to be able to buy over the counter, with something in it that prevents purposeful overdose. Mainly because Tylenol does nothing for me, as can be expected.
It's not the government's job to tell us what we can and can't put in our own body if it doesn't hurt anyone else but ourselves.
Everything should be legal and regulated.
All of them. What we put in our bodies is entirely up to us. We have the right to destroy our bodies however we want.
A government should not have the authority to control us to the point where they decide what we do or do not put in our bodies.

Go to florida. They pass out oxycontin like it's fucking candy, for a price at least.
Only weed.
It is the only one that is completely harmless.

Tobacco and Alcohol should be banned too then?
Tobacco and Alcohol should be banned too then?
Yes.
[editline]17th June 2011[/editline]
Tobacco is just stupid as it slowly kills you and Alcohol just fucks you over and tastes like shit.
oh dear
Alcohol just fucks you over and tastes like shit.
Sure is fun though :v:
Everything should be legal. Let the stupid sort themselves out, natural selection.
