• Which blood-drinking bug do you hate the most?

Title says it all. This post was driven by my ongoing crusade to kill the several dozen flesh flies that have found their way into my house after something died outside. Even though I'm killing flesh flies at the moment, nothing will ever piss me off more than ticks. I walked through some brush once and must have hit a fresh hatch; I had to pick about 30 baby ticks off of me for the next two days.
We don't really have dangerous blood sucking insects in Ireland that I can think of, so I'm just going with mosquitoes because they are the cause of so much misery and pain in the world. Fuck 'em.
Horseflies. They aren't too common here, but if one shows up while you are enjoying a good swim you know he won't leave until he either gives you a super annoying sting or you kill him
what do you mean which fuck all of them the only ones here are mosquitos anyways
mosquitos are in more places, thus are more shit
Gonna have to go with ticks. Though I have never had an encounter with one, the fact that they can cause you to develop a meat allergy makes them the worst.
Midges are the fucking worst.
Fuck ticks, burn every single one of them.
Ticks definitely, there's so many of them here. Me and my SO was out picking berries the other day which was cut short when we realized there were 3 ticks in our bucket. Threw all the berries and went straight home and checked ourselves out. Soo creepy and nasty to think about how small these things are and how they can just suddenly stuck themselves onto us
Gonna have to go with ticks. Fleas. Ticks are easy to deal with, pick 'em off and you're golden. The chances of actually catching something off one are miniscule at best. And they're reasonably easy to avoid, too. Skeeters are even easier to avoid. I have been bitten by mosquitoes five times in the past ten years. Horse flies generally leave humans alone for some reason. Bed bugs are only a problem if you're a slob. But fleas. Fuck those annoying little shits. They get EVERYWHERE. THey're tiny. They can haul ass. You have pets you WILL have them in the house. You can't avoid them, you can't predict where they'll be, and the fuckers can bite you, trigger the itch, then zip off somewhere else in the time it takes you to scratch only to bite you again while you're scratching the bite they just made. Even worse still, the little shitlords are nearly indestructible. Pinch and roll, focus them with a fingernail, drown them, they don't give a fuck and bounce back from it within seconds. Flea bombs? I swear they have gas masks or something. They're also legion. You don't encounter one flea. You don't encounter a few fleas. You encounter hundreds of the fuckers. Oh, and they'll kill kittens/puppies. Literally just exsanguinate the poor things right there in front of you, and they're so young you can't hit 'em with anti-flea meds/sprays/whatever so there's nothing you can do for them. Fuck. Fleas.
Having to deal with a flea infestation for the first time now, can easily say they're the worst.
I dealt with a flea infestation a couple of years ago. I couldn't find the source but because we had 7 pets, they never really fucked off. Every time I found one, I drowned the little fucker until it stopped moving. Fleas are a bitch, but ticks still reign supreme for me.
Bed bugs for sure. All those other bugs I can avoid by being inside for the most part. But bed bugs live in your furniture. Horrifying
I tried to select Politicians, but it wouldn't let me..
You can walk through a damn hedgerow and be unable to eat red meat without dying because of fucking ticks.

I've had plenty of encounters with everything on this list (apart from bed bugs) as well as land leeches in places where they're so common the ground almost seems to move from them (even tho they're not really bugs), but i've had to remove ticks from my balls far too many times for me to even consider anything else as being the worst. and the post-removal itching, oh god it lasts for days. and they're so unusually common around my place thanks to all the deer that live around here, so I can't walk around outside for more than a few minutes without feeling one crawling up my leg (if i'm lucky enough to catch them at that point). and there's always that risk of the head breaking off when you go to remove them ughghg horrid fucking creatures. and yea baby ticks are an absolute nightmare since good luck removing a tick when it's damn near microscopic. walking through a place where a fresh batch just hatched is just about the worse thing you can do while out walking about.
horse flies are the worst. mosquitos just itch and being that I live in a swamp I've developed a tolerance for them. ticks are no big deal as long as you remove them within a day or so, fleas mostly just go after furry animals, and bedbugs are rare enough to not be an issue. horse flies though, those fuckers hurt. I'd rather be stung by a wasp since they fuck off after one sting. horse flies keep fucking coming though, and you don't even have to be bothering them to get bit.
Studio Wildcard [sp]Jokes aside, ticks. The meat allergy thing is something I fear quite a bit.[/sp]
Fleas. I've had kittens die in the hands from a bad infestation, and it nearly killed one of my older cats. We got the best flea meds money can buy and bombed the fuck out of our house twice. We give our cats treatments every few months now and they haven't been a problem.

Shit hurts and very easy to accidentally remove the body but the head's still stuck and you push the tick's fluids into you faster. Fuck ticks.
What state do you live in? I'd like to have an idea of where I should never go in my entire life.
Basically every forested area in the northeast is fucked with ticks, and it's only getting worse because of reforestation and climate change allowing ticks to have more livable habitats further north. I live in NJ (read: the epicenter of the tick apocalypse) when I'm not at college and every time I've gone for a hike I've had to pick a few ticks off of me afterwards.
Thank God Colorado is just a big white square on that map.

None of them.Insects are my friends.
The only ones I've personally had to deal with are horse flies and mosquitoes. I'm not sure which I hate more, horsefly bites hurt more, but mosquitoes are more annoying. Whatever, all of them should go extinct
Had a tick latch on to the base of my dong and a nurse had to give me a sorta handy when I was a kiddo to get the bastard to let go since was on there like a motherfucker, I guess that was the warmest spot in my sleeping bag. Fuck ticks
Mosquitoes because I have a horrible allergy to them and even a tiny bite becomes massive and burning itching pain. :pudge: Slight bias...
