I've noticed a bunch of people use the word 'maths' when referring to their mathematics class. Everyone where I live (US) just says 'math'.
So tell me FP, which one do you use?

The first time I heard "maths" it sounded like the most retarded thing I had ever heard.
Do chemistry, physics, and biology all get taught under "sciences"? No, they're named appropriately (at least, in high school and higher). Just like calculus, geometry, and statistics get named appropriately.

I always treated math as singular and the other two as plural.

We say Maths in england, the language we speek is from england (ENGLISH) so its maths.
