THe internet is a vast, seemingly endless place. I thought it would be fun to venture past where i normally visit on the web and try to find new and exciting places.
Here's the site that inspired me:

and here's a conspiracy theorist babbling about all kinds of things:

on the greenspun site, didn't see too many creepy things. or is it the fact that they have a section dedicated to their dead family?
Deep web anyone? If anything the scary part is the amount of people that aren't even aware that it exists, let alone what's on it.
on the greenspun site, didn't see too many creepy things. or is it the fact that they have a section dedicated to their dead family?
its the fact they have a eerily made part of their website dedicated to their DOGS.
i would have a part of my website for them, but theirs seems a bit....off...

What is this so called "deep web", sir?
link please?
The old thread on FP might not serve as good at a getting started, so try that. Essentially, you can get to the deep web via services like TOR or FreeNet, which act as sort of anonymous DNS agents (with tunneling).
And trust me, you do not want to visit 98% of what's on there (think illegal stuff).

Try http://core.onion/ as a jumping off point if you get on.
Someone please give me the link to that pokemon forum with only one member talking to himself in all his threads.

Outside viewing was locked and registration was disabled, no dice anymore.
Trying to check out the "deep web" would you recommend TOR or FreeNet more?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Trying to check out the "deep web" would you recommend TOR or FreeNet more?
I really wouldn't check it out.
Do not go to the deep web. It contains Child Porn, terrorist websites and all that kind of shit. It is also around 500X bigger than the normal web.
You cannot enter the deep web through Google either and most pages are encrypted the shit out of. It's not a place anyone should go to be honest. It's like /B/ on meth and coke and heroin.

If you're feeling particularly risky, try TOR and look at talk.masked. But quite honestly, the risks and the actual content of basically anything else outweighs the benefits.
What are the risks to visiting the "deep web"?

I'm curious if I could find out if a missing person that I know was murdered (since I've seen that you can find hit men maybe there will be a report on one).
Im on tor, and im wondering how i can find such sites. Core.onion is having a network problem to
What is this "deep web"?
it seems like its just we sites not indexed by search engines, and can be accessed by regular web browsers.

hi guys
yeah, the http://eqt5g4fuenphqinx.onion/ doesnt load for me. and the 2045 website is weird, but nothing to abnormal.
If you're using TOR, it'll load. Eventually. Lag is measured in minutes and seconds on the deep web, it's really quite slow.

After browsing around a bunch of the websites, I have come to the conclusion that it's basically a world wide black market.
