Even after 11 years I can't get over this shit.
It still makes me mad that Germany still doesn't accept videogames as an art form and therefore allows germany to show swastikas in videogames.
It's no problems for movies after all.
Conservative hypocrites.
Also, dear Ubisoft, it is no problem for all the other publishers every year to get the censorship and approval by the USK and ESRB done to have a worldwide release on the same day with a "special" german version. This is clearly your fault this time.
I still don't understand why Germany doesn't even allow Nazis as enemies in games.

BECAUSE THE WAR DIDN'T HAPPEN

Technically you can use Nazi symbolism if it is detriment to the ideology, so in satire or criticizing the regime. Thats how drama and comedy films get away with using Nazi's and swastikas in film, I don't know how it does not apply to games too, they are both entertainment mediums.
The Germans acknowledge the part their country played in the war unlike another country. But unlike that other country they are not too fond of being reminded of it and actively persecute themselves any time the subject rears its head.
It’s hard to see how that relates to a digital build, but of course this aspect is currently based on forum rumours rather than anything concrete.
Speculation has it that Ubi asked Steam to delay it.
However, Amazon already delivered the discs.

The thing is that it's not in th game to make fun of Nazis or their ideology in any way. I've played through that part and they are literally just in there to have Nazis in there.
It's not a smart statement, it's not satire, it's literally just "lol look they are Nazis" although I gotta admit making the sound effects for every nazizombi snippets from Hitlers big speeches is kinda funny.

Censorship is retarded, but if you are going to argue that germany is trying to hide its history you are wrong.

Judging from the picture it seems to me that they are making fun of the overused trope of "Nazi Zombies" which is satire as the concept of Nazi Zombie's is a play on over the top mustache twirling evil.

Soldier of Fortune 2 was the best one, IMO:
There are many parallel dimensions next to ours in the space-time-continuum. In one of these dimensions, mankind was enslaved and ultimately erradicated by their own machinery. Those machines eventually evolved to emotionally-capable androids, who live their lives according to the only way familiar to them: That of humanity.
In this grim world called Hysperia, the androids imitate the lives of their former masters: They go to work, create families, build cities and vote governments. Because of this absurdity they ironically have to fight with the problems of human culture as well - War, crime, pollution, political distress and espionage...
As John Mullins, professional mercenary, you will take part in covert operations for the SHOP, a secret security organisation of the androids. Your mission is as simple as it is hopeless: Save the world from itself.
