I go to school at Prairie View High School and the other day I hung out with my friend Brian at lunch.[sp] so we go to his locker which had a sticker saying "toxic" on it, so he opens it up and he has a car battery in his locker, along with a thing that you plug into your car to make it a normal house plug and an alarm clock. he wires the thing to the battery then he charges his phone and his locker partner plugs in the alarm clock. he fiddles around with it and sets the time and then he finds a rock station and we listen to that for a while and then he closes the locker.[/sp] the next day I go to my third hour and the principal pokes his head in then leaves, I thought that was weird and continued taking notes. then a minute later I hear him on the intercom saying, "All students and staff evacuate the school." I though this was just a drill and got up and left, we then went outside then waited in lines and the teachers did a head count like usual. then an hour later we all had to go to the football field and sit on the bleachers.
we waited and saw fire trucks come and surround the school, so we thought it was a fire or a gas leak or something. police cars start coming in then we thought it was a bomb, the principal says on the speakers, "there was a bomb at school and all I know is there was a locker that had a sticker on it saying explosives and there was a buzzing noise coming from it. we got the kids in cuffs out front" everyone claps and then I immediately knew it was my friends locker then I thought they were going to start questioning me because I was with them. hours pass and then the EOD team comes and they send out the bomb-defusing robot and then a guy goes in the truck, and then guy comes out with an EOD suit on, well I didn't see it but my friends told me about it. the principal tells us that the EOD are going to be firing rounds at our backpacks to see it there's explosives in it, then hours of not hearing any shots, we go to the middle school next door and get on the buses and leave. so how was your day at school? what do you think will happen to my friends? I think they'll be expelled and then they have to pay for the emergency services.
sadly, I couldn't get any pictures :saddowns:

rate me dumb if it makes you feel better.
Your school doesn't have a high IQ average
not really.
lol dumbshit people dont even ask the students.
I was gonna make a parody thread but then i realized it was not worth it. They will expelled and possible arrested for that though. If it was a real bomb.
It's not a bomb unless it has weapons-grade plutonium.
they wont get fined, probably punished just because someone has to be punished when there is a bomb scare. bad logic, but thats how it is.
Credibility to OP.

Edit: Never mind.
Your friend is dumb.

What stupid fucks have a 12-volt battery in their locker? That's not only an easy way to trigger a bomb scare, it's also dangerous. What if the battery started leaking?
Hasn't your friend ever heard of an extension cord?
So why did your friend think it a good idea to have a car battery with an inverter in school?
don't ask me why he was compelled to bring a car battery.
-snip-
Sounds like the kinda shit my friends would pull.
Firing rounds at your backpacks? What if you have something expensive in there
what happened to the kid?
what was the battery thing?
Firing rounds at your backpacks? What if you have something expensive in there
hopefully they didn't shoot mine. my friend said that a girl brought her laptop to school and she had it in her backpack.

I don't know what happened to him, and I think it's called an inverter.
Holy shit, do you go Praire View in Henderson, Colorado?
I would think the bomb squad could tell the difference between a high grade explosive and a car battery.
Also I bet this thread will be up on the news article.
I didn't read the thread.
yep.
Sorry, but is shooting a backpack to see if it explodes (thus confirming it's a bomb) really the most high-tech method they could come up with?
[editline]09:57PM[/editline]
I'm assuming you mean bullets that is.
Someone set you up the bomb?

I don't know what they shot it with, the principal just said that they would be firing rounds at the backpacks.
People are idiots, some guy has a sticker you can get at most stores and there's a humming sound. It could have been someones phone set on vibrate, and they'd still call the cops.
What is with people these days

that's what I thought.
yep.
That's cool, I know a bunch of people that go there. Apparently you had to leave the bleachers area one by one?
Also I realized that we live in the same city too
That's cool, I know a bunch of people that go there. Apparently you had to leave the bleachers area one by one?
yeah, if you had your parents pick you up, then they just let people go to the buses.
I don't know what they shot it with, the principal just said that they would be firing rounds at the backpacks.
I'm assuming this means you didn't get to keep your bags? Or are they left as part of the evacuation in a 'get out as fast as possible' way?
Either way... you'll find out tomorrow or the day after I s'pose.
