Arthur Anderson, the voice of Eustace Bagge in Courage the Cowardly Dog, has died at the age age 93 at his home in New York.
Anderson voiced the skinny mean husband of Muriel in the cartoon for Episodes 34–52. In addition to being a voice performer, he was an actor on the radio, in movies, and on the stage.
Is he going to come back tomorrow and its going to be like he never died?
Really though sad to see another voice from our childhood gone.
Seems like the years are catching up, i've heard of more notable deaths this year than i have any previous

Deaths don't get more notable. You just start to recognize names.
Whoa, he was still around? I thought he died a few years ago.

Yeah we lost a bunch of people around the turn of the year. Lemmy's gone, Bowie's gone, lotta people have been going recently.
Though it's partly because we're getting older, and as we go on we see those before us passing away. Makes you think a lot about those that we've personally lost. A colleague of mine lost a good friend of his about a month ago, and we ended up talking about it during the closing break tonight. I think about my grandparents on my dad's side, taken when I was very young, and my late grandfather who passed away around the holidays in 2014.
On one hand it's a natural part of life to see those you've known pass from existence, but on the other it's down to the fragilie imperfections of life and how we still lack the tools to truly fix its many machines. Call it waffling, but I hold the belief that all life is a complex machine that ticks along, and that if it breaks, we can fix it. We simply lack the tools and skills needed to make a "perfect" fix, we don't yet have the means to mass-produce "jelly bean" components to replace our failing organs, or the absolute knowledge of how the body truly works.
But it can be comforting to think that, maybe one day (perhaps within our lifetime) with all the advances we've seen recently, we'll be able to swap out a cirrhotic liver or burnt-out kidney or hardening heart with a well-designed replacement. Maybe one day we'll be able to custom-order "young" blood to transfuse into our old vessels and revitalize old flesh. Sure, it won't be immortality, but it'll probably help us keep on going until we can finally change into something as durable and efficient as a machine, but still as plastic and graceful as flesh and bone. If all our cards are played right, maybe one day the usual kinds of death will become a terrifying rarity, and we could be described as "a race that had long since conquered disease and old age, with the occasional fatality being due to violence or accident".
Thats a big bummer... The whole show was a huge part of my childhood.
No more ooga booga booga :(

Well, who voiced Eustace for the other episodes?

Or, do the episode numbers start at 34?

This was the replacement voice actor when the original VA was too sick and eventually passed away.

Wallace Shaw is the current voice of Eustace since the Fog of Courage short they released
Otherwise known for his work as Rex from Toy Story, and Vizzini from The Princess Bride.
Or even better, known for playing Grand Nagus Zek in DS9.
93 is a long time to live. Good for him.
As much as I miss the show, I doubt it would ever have the same charm if it was to come back.

Wow, as if knowing he was Eustace Bagge wasn't a big enough blow to my childhood memories.

No, Wallace Shawn is still alive.
EDIT; I swear, no one here knows how to google.

No wonder I thought he was already dead...
