How 'bout MCC?
Pretty much all of this
Nah, I don't believe it until I see it.
That really isn't a confirmation that Halo 6 on PC. It's more of a "we're looking into it" if anything.
Nobody wants any of 343's trash. Give us the original trilogy, Reach, and ODST.
3, reach, ODST, etc were never 'remastered' so maybe they will release another MCC for those games. However this is great news, seeing as we will actually be getting these games and potentially more on pc
Nobody wants any of 343's trash. Give us the original trilogy, Reach, and ODST.
I don't want their SP, since its trash, but Halo 5 MP is really good, but yeah, I would love the older games on PC more.

That would be pretty amazing but it still hasn't been officially confirmed to be coming to PC. Bit of a misleading title, really. I really enjoy Halo 5, especially since it runs at 60FPS on the xbone, but it always takes me a bit to get readjusted to playing with a controller since I play most multiplayer shooters with a mouse and keyboard.
Well, I'm happy the Xbox team is mending the wound between the PC community. Honestly if their new statement is to provide every first party game to PC. That is only good for us, sad we won't see old games that could've been provided to PC. Considering this isn't a complete clarification I would take it with a grain of salt. Halo is the reason you buy a Xbox, Microsoft is basically saying to themselves "Our console players won't change to PC and PC players won't change to console. Why not provide them both the game for each and get more profits? Have a lucrative you can buy 1 time and then have them on TWO platforms. Perhaps in hopes they might buy a Xbox console in the future for their couch.". If this backfires in Xbox sales, then that's an issue. Buut, most likely it won't which is why we're seeing Microsoft want to make an seamless gaming experience for both console players and PC players. I don't know, I can see in the future where Microsoft will stop targetting the Windows 10 Platform and I wouldn't even be surprised. But, honestly I'd give them a chance with buying their games right now. I honestly wish they would just start shaping up their Windows Store, cause it looks terrible right now with all the mobile games and what not. Make an actual proper Windows Store for your games, Microsoft. Honestly, it's shameful to have it like it is right now. You might call me a heretic for wanting to play Forza Horizon 3 and Halo 6. But I really, really could care less that this pisses off the "Won't upgrade to Windows 10 crowd" or the "We believe it's bad that Microsoft provide their games for PC users, because we can't mod them" crowd. Besides, more competition is always good against the monopoly that Steam has either way. Remember, considering the price of the recent Quantum Break (It's still 72 USD for me in the store) I wouldn't be surprised if we have to pay premium price for these games on the Windows 10 platform. Basically what I am saying is, the only game in the store that they HAVE provided us recently worth noting are: Forza Motorsport 6: Apex (Beta), Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Remastered, Quantum Break. "So wait and see" is my recommendation to there new change in business strategy.
Bungie games only please, no 343 trash.
No thanks. 343 has no idea how to make a Halo game. If I can't have Bungie-made Halo games on PC, I'd rather have nothing.
Bungie games only please, no 343 trash.
remember when bungie made destiny and it was a piece of shit
remember when bungie made destiny and it was a piece of shit
Remember that it also doesn't make their old games retroactively bad.
remember when bungie made destiny and it was a piece of shit
It is?
Remember that it also doesn't make their old games retroactively bad.
imo Halo 3 and Reach weren't all that great and I don't understand the love people have for those games.
imo Halo 3 and Reach weren't all that great and I don't understand the love people have for those games.
good game [t]http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/6VpmMEMdFB0/maxresdefault.jpg[/t]
remember when bungie made destiny and it was a piece of shit
Remember when 343 made a game and people hated change.
It was a pretty shit game, change or no change.
Most of the changes were put set in place by Bungie to begin with (Reach multiplayer loadouts/abilities and sprint).
The Master Chief Collection is literally collecting dust at this point, probably everyone who wanted to buy it on a console has bought it. I believe with a 4K enabled PC port they could still move few copies and once and for all it would be an undeniable proof they are 100% honest about their PC plans. MCC for the Windows 10 and Windows Store/Xbox could be what Half Life 2 was for Steam.
too little too late, my son
we're getting forge, so custom games only I guess for now
I'm hoping their Looking For Group system on Xbox Live will make this a lot better. If it works by the party system, it could mean being able to easily find players for custom games on PC.
"Halo 6 are you fucking kidding me" shouldn't be the first thing I think of when I see the title. Then again Halo 1 release date: 2001 Halo 2 release date: 2004 Halo 3 release date: 2007 Halo ODST release date: 2009 Halo Reach release date: 2010 Halo 4 release date: 2012 Halo 5 release date: 2015 Halo 6 release date: 2018 Time flies. I remember Halo 4 being hyped up when halo 3 was released.
remember when bungie made destiny and it was a piece of shit
This isn't a destiny thread, this is halo, which is what I was referring to, pal.
I love how this thread is 90% "why the fuck are you bringing halo 6 to pc instead of porting a 9 year old game waaaaah" while I'm sitting here going "oh neat, now I can possibly finally play Halo multiplayer without it being horrendously outdated, being a hacked together mess on the Halo 3 engine, or being $360 because every other game I give a damn about is already on PC or coming to it so I don't already own an XBone" like I get that you people are bitter and having a MCC on PC would be great, but if they're not bringing all of Halo 5 over because that's "looking back" they're not bringing MCC and they were never going to. The Xbox-to-Win10 isn't a move to appease Halo players. They're bringing over all of their first-party games, and the third-party ones that have been exclusives that come to PC eventually are finally coming at the same time that they release on the Xbox. In order of importance, it's going PC gaming in general, then everyone who's already paid for the Halo games and consoles, and have been part of the community that's played those games on those consoles for years. They're trying to get a foothold in a new audience, not preserve the one that's going to stay regardless of whether or not they bring Halo to PC. As far as how this decision could've been made, I'd say it's most likely that the Halo community itself was a low factor aside from whether or not they'd bitch about losing an exclusive to another platform. Hell, I don't even see how not bringing the games over could backfire on Microsoft. Best case scenario some PC gamer buys Halo 6 on PC, goes "oh neat I like this game" and buys all the console-exclusive games and console. Sure, it sucks to be the consumer in that case but I really don't think they care.

halo 4 and 5 have awful singleplayer stories but 5 has great multiplayer from what ive heard. I know that halo 6's story will be shit as well, but hopefully multiplayer/firefight will be good. though im not too excited since its so far in the future from now.
