The Pandaren Monk raised more than $1.1 million for the Make-A-Wish Foundation last year in Blizzard's "World of Warcraft" Pet Store, and this year, they'll try to bring in a little more dough via the shop's new Moonkin Hatchlings that are currently on sale. Blizzard has already announced the Hatchlings, along with their Store neighbor Lil' Ragnaros, but now that they're on sale, Make-A-Wish's status as the recipient of of $5 for $10 spent on the little guys is official as well.
"We're looking forward to making another big contribution to this great cause on behalf of the 'World of Warcraft' community following the close of this year's promotion," a statement this week from Blizzard read.
50-percent of Moonkin Hatchling sales will be funneled to Make-A-Wish until December 31. As has been the case with pets in the past, the digital critters won't affect any of your combat abilities, but they will show off your compassion for animals to all of the other players you encounter.
Alliance affiliates will automatically get a purple edition of the beaked fellow, and Horde characters will receive a brown version. It's not possible to switch that up so be aware of those details before you buy if you're worried about their feather colors clashing with your in-game outfit.
The Moonkins are available at the store on Blizzard.com if you feel like adopting one and helping out a worthy cause.
No, you're just a horrible fucking poster.
At least I'm not overpaid.
I doubt you're even paid...
At least I'm not overpaid.
At least I care enough where my money is going.
Even though I don't play WoW, this is nice of Blizzard, they know they can get their customers to buy these mini pets and then they support charity. I'm sorry if you don't like virtual items doesn't mean it's not fun for someone else, even if you can't really control what it does, so shut up.
I've bought a costume for Guild Wars because I wanted to show them my support for their free content they are developing.
Oh yeah, those costumes in GW are really cool! I want one very badly.
I cannot wait to have this cute pet follow me around at insane speeds over the hellfire tundra on ground level while I fly around luxuriously on a padded mount

Yeah, they put a lot of effort in the design of them, so why not?
Hell they found a dead crow in their parking lot and took a picture of it and used the dead crows wings as the texture for their Halloween costume. :v:

Sounds hot.
I don't think I can justify to myself spending more money on WoW than I already do, even if it does go to charity.
At least I'm not overpaid.
how is that a good thing
At least I'm not overpaid.
Hope that this is a better alternative for you.
