Peta. Petaaaa. Can I agree with Peta?
They're all sleazy, or just ridiculous.
I may not like peta, but that was a damn good commercial.
good message too i'm no extremist vegan or anything but yeah i don't like the whole pure-bred superbreeding business (you know what I mean)
That was actually a pretty great commercial with a good point. Pure-breeding is just bullshit, I'm still no fan of Peta however.
when my enemies fight, i win
The funny part is that the KKK actually doesn't advocate those things, they just want a 'whiter America' with less immigrants. Anyone can join too now, even blacks, as long as they hate all the darkies. [editline]13th January 2013[/editline] Either way that's a funny commercial and I actually have to agree with PETA on this one, pure breeding is kinda' silly. It creates a lot of health problems in dogs. But of course they're terrorists and I really don't want to say that I advocate them in public :v:
I'm an animal lover and still think PETA is fucking stupid They focus more on saving goddamn pigs than saving animals that are actually being abused in homes like say cats and dogs Not saying slaughtering cows/pigs is the best thing ever but still, there's nothing wrong with killing a free-range animal. In certain cultures it's actually an honor for the animal to be eaten at a feast, they choose the best. But there's these lunatics locking up dogs in closets & cats in boxes and nobody does anything They really need to reevaluate their motives
Accidentally clicked disagree. I agree with Peta that dog breeding is horrible, but I still want my meaty foods.

Yet cow and pig mass murder, funny uh? i guess we dont care about certain things because we dont see them. Its like my auntie, he tries to be "vegetarian" but she still eats fish, i asked her why and she said "but fishes have no feelings, they are like dead"...not because some things are not good looking and arent very human it means they matter less than other things. oh btw, good commercial.

Yet cow and pig mass murder, funny uh? i guess we dont care about certain things because we dont see them.
That wasn't what I was saying at all. I'll give you an example, a good friend of mine attends college in a rural area. Most of the food in their cafeteria is grown or comes from the school's farm They also have livestock like cows and pigs They've had this one cow for a very long time, and she became popular among the students She broke one of her legs or something similar (I cant remember) and they decided it was her time Now, obviously they were very humane about the whole affair, this was no slaughter-mill PETA still got on their asses about killing helpless livestock, and made this whole petition to save the cow and send it somewhere else Now think: where the fuck are you gonna send an injured cow? it's lived its life, let the thing die already. PETA just likes to protest, but they don't think about the consequences or what they're going to do with the cow once they "rescue" it Btw, they do eat cats and dogs in many foreign countries, it's not that but what i'm saying is animals that are locked up and tortured is worse than them being killed & used for food
That means that the suit is a pure breed dog.
What's the point of this advert? I mean the basic point it's going for is fine but what Kennel Club member is going to watch this and think 'wow they compared me to the KKK this really makes me respect their views.'

PETA is silly, but there needs to be an organization like this. Same goes for groups like Greenpeace.

I think PETA is just awful, but this advert was reaaaaally funny. didn't peta compare eating animals to the holocaust or something awhile back? dick move if you ask me.
preferring one breed of dog over another is dog racism and anyone who does this should feel bad
Just that some breeds of dogs are definitely smarter then others.

Because that's the deal right. That's why Peta choose to put themselves in a position that doesn't ignore the contrary interest of another observing, living thing. Your argument falls on two contradicting points. You say slaughtering (killing), isn't good but then change your opinion for it being right under an evironmental adjustment that doesn't affect them not being killed. Second, believing that cats and dogs are dominanly abused, if not actual. This is ironic because our prejudices towards those animals you argue for are the ones we seem to care more about than any animal that is on a conveur belt ready to be killed. To what extent is free range meat adopted? I'd like to point out that the majority are in small confinement, possibly enough to be defined as cages and peta would be contributing towards your moral priorities in this respect anyway.
Peta still holds the Nr. 1 spot on my stupidest bunch of people on earth
Fuck I can agree with PETA for once? I mean yeah its a bit overzealous but it makes a good point, pedigree is bullshit. I mean, some of the shit people do to dogs to "maintain pedrigree" is awful.
Jesus christ this is the first time PETA doesn't do something outright retarded, and this one was funny too.
While the comparison they drew doesn't have the best founded logic, at least they attacked something actually worth attacking for once. The problem is, they'll turn right around and attack something stupid like Super Meat Boy or Mario again because "oh noes, teh virtual animals."
preferring one breed of dog over another is dog racism and anyone who does this should feel bad
But then facepunch would be racist to every breed of dog besides corgis
They have a point with kennel clubs, it's bad for dogs to have constant inbreeding.
They have a point with kennel clubs, it's bad for dogs to have constant inbreeding.
But the royals made it through just fine???????
But the royals made it through just fine???????
this guy had a lil trouble.

I agree some of the more extreme practices to maintain purity are stupid, but is it really that bad to have, say, a purebred German Shepherd if it's from a reputable breeder?
