• New Processor problems

I currently have an Intel Core 2 Duo E4400, socket LGA775 on a MSI P6N SLi v1 motherboard. I ordered an E7500 the other day, I put it in, reset the CMOS, and it doesn't work. I checked my motherboard's website, and they say all it needs is a BIOS Flash to the latest version, which I have done. However, when I go to start up the computer with the new processor, it will not POST. It will power on, but not POST. I have called MSI tech support, they say everything should work fine. I RMA'd the first one I had, and the new one came in today with the exact same result. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
If you are sure the mobo is compatible with the CPU (I tried checking for your mobos cpu support list, but the manufacturers appear to have deleted its page as it throws a page can not be found error), then the CPU might have a factory defect such as an incorrectly written microcode or a physical defect. Try RMA'ing it.
The E series is part of the 775 Socket, should be okay. Check if its seated properly, if no, re-seat.

No avail.
