I am SO pumped for this OS to be refined!! I can see a world where schools issue tablets with this kind of software smacked on it, so that when students take it home, not only can it be used as a tablet, but also as a desktop!
R.I.P. Ubuntu edge....
*Edit*
Thank you for letting me know that... I fairly new to the Linux-Ubuntu community. Still really pumped though......
I wish it could run normal ubuntu apps somehow
like steam
or half-life
Alas, Canonical is keen to emphasize that the Ubuntu Dual Boot Installer is for developers only, and always will be. The company is not building it with the goal of encouraging us plain folk to use it to install Ubuntu on our Android mobile devices.
Party's over.
Or you could get the debian app and run debian on top of android. And not have to deal with Ubuntu's awfulness
I wouldn't want that piece of crap on my phone anyway. They sell your search queries to amazon and created one of the most unusable and sluggish user interfaces.

That's what made me switch to Mint
I'm not really cared about selling search queries I'm pretty sure Google does that, if not they still collect them anyway, I just care about the optimisation, what's the point in Linux if it's sluggish

Eh, if it means Iget a free operating system, I'm OK with that. I just don't like how unusable Ubuntu / Debian distros are.

I wouldn't really call Debian "unusable". It's pretty dated compared to rolling releases and stuff obviously, but not too bad. Ubuntu is a bit whack though last time I tried it, dunno why the DE/ WM went in that direction.

Everything I try to do with a Debian based distro feels really clunky and esoteric. RHEL distros are where it's at.

Every company sells your data to somebody else. Every one.
That's what made me switch to Mint
i tried mint, but it hated my sound card and would not allow me to use a microphone input.
Besides that i find no interest in ubuntu touch. if i dont want ubuntu on my PC why would i want it on a phone or tablet?

You can use Fedora, CentOS, Scientific Linux, or a host of other derivatives.
