I have a useless, huge Windows folder. My computer has been a little messy, but I can't delete the Windows folder in the D drive, it's pissing me off. I tried using guides on how to grant permission to the file, but it doesn't work. Anyone?
Just backup important stuff that may be on it and format it?
you could try that Godmode thread but im not positive. never read it thoroughly
or format it^^^^. thats what i did when my Win7 didnt install right because of a Motherboard BIOS update not installed
Bassie, formatting sounds like a great idea, but do I lose my stats in modern warfare 2(like you did in number 1?)

I'm pretty sure they are saved onto the Steam servers, so you shouldn't loose them.
I really don't want to lose them, that would suck.

LOL, no offence, but thats pretty funny. You can't just go and tell windows to delete itself, and even if you could, what do expect would happen, it would automatically reinstall? Still no offence, a lot of people have that misunderstanding, so don't feel bad.
Anyways, you have to do whats called "Formatting" to erase windows. It will in the proccess delete all the files on the drive, which is why you back up important files.
In order to format a PC and reinstall windows, you have to a have a windows installtion cd, if you don't have such a cd, then you must buy one. Windows installation cd's are expensive, windows xp still goes for $300 in some stores that havn't realised its 10 years old. Vista and Windows 7 Home Premium's are usually $130 each. You will need a full cd, not the upgrade edition which is cheaper, if you have vista and was upgrading to windows 7, but if you currently have xp, you need to buy the full install cd.
Once you have this cd, its actually relatively easy to reinstall, at least with the vista and windows 7 cd's. Its just like installing a program, but remember, put everything you don't want erased on a portable USB drive or a dvd. No, you can't copy your games on to a usb drive, you must reinstall them all, though stats from games like COD should be retained if you bought them from Steam.
Once you have everything you want to keep safely backed up onto a SEPERATE device, such as a cd/dvd/usb drive, then you're ready to reinstall.
I recommend you purchase Windows 7, it feels and looks much like Vista, but all the annoying speed issues are gone.
Follow this guide, it will help you install windows 7. http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/windows_7_install_guide

I assumed that it was an old Windows installation he was trying to delete.

It's just OutOfBox trying to help but failing again :/
You need to use Unlocker

Not trying to bring this off topic, but Unlocker is adware. I know that was the case for the last version (1.8.7) but I can't seem to find any decent sources of whether or not, with the recent (1.8.8) version, they have an option to removed the sponsor crap. One site I found says there's an option for it when you install, but some sites say there's nothing at all, despite that it's clearly still there.
Edit: Disregard all that, probably... Apparently the site you linked to claims there IS an option on installation.
Unlocker isn't that great anyway, has no 64 bit support.
