A 350-pound brute hurled slurs at a gay man and his transgender girlfriend and then whipped out a razor and slashed one of them at a crime-plagued McDonald’s in Greenwich Village, police said. Jamar McLeod, 24, said he and his girlfriend, Jalisa “JoJo” Griffen had just picked up her hormone medicine Wednesday night and were headed back to their apartment in Bushwick when they ducked into the fast food joint on W. Third St. to use the bathroom. McLeod, who is 5-foot-6 and 170 pounds, was holding hands with Griffen, who was wearing a tight-fitting pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt. The suspect, who was waiting for his cheeseburger around 7 p.m., apparently overheard them talking about gay bashing.
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/man-22-slashed-razor-gay-slurs-greenwich-village-mcdonald-article-1.1164580 Sad stuff. I wonder how the NYPD will handle it if they do catch the guy.
hate crimes as usual, but at 350 pounds the guy should be pretty easy to find I hate to say it but at this point I'd be shocked if I went a day without news about attacks on LGBT people
your views do not correspond with mine and therefore you deserve bodily harm
I suppose this is clearly a case of 'you can't fix stupid.' Just haul this fellow into a cell for a few years. The law should have allowed for this fellow to be punished by making him live like a transgendered person and see what it's like on the other side instead of harboring mindless hate.

While this is sad news, it's also a year late. Hopefully they caught the man by now.
gay man and his transgender girlfriend
this contradicts itself, I'm confused
this contradicts itself, I'm confused
I think the real question here is whether his partner was a woman who felt like a man, or a man who felt like a woman.
this contradicts itself, I'm confused
Maybe they got together before his girlfriend identified as a woman and/or started transitioning
this contradicts itself, I'm confused
I guess they're saying that, because his girlfriend is trans, he's gay. Way to add insult to injury.
