I left my cousin on my laptop for a day and shit gets fucked up, apparantly Fallout 3 kept freezing so he googled some shit and reasoned that he had to delete my old drivers and install new ones which obviously didn't work.
I have an ATI Radeon Mobility HD 3400.
Anyway I'm not even sure what he tried to do to fix it but I've reinstalled drivers myself but it's still not working properly.
The device properties is saying this:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
The laptop has worked fine for months ( A Lenovo Thinkpad T400).
Basically I've been up for 3 days straight now so I'm really not in the mood to fix this thing myself and I really don't know whats going on.
Any help with this problem would be appreciated.
A setting or registry has been changed, maybe your laptop is overheating which is why it's "freezing". Have you tried using system restore before the problem happened?
Pretty sure it's not overheating, looks like more than one instance of the drivers has been installed so it's getting confused as to which one to use.
Fixed it, He used a program called driver sweeper to get rid of them and it had a backup/restore function so I restored the drivers then uninstalled them properly because I suspect this thing had messed them up.
Reinstalled and everythings working fine now, been playing TF2 for an hour.
