• Poor fps in bc2

Hello I have a 5870, and am currently experiencing around 40fps with high settings. This seems un-acceptable because I was having around 80 around 2 weeks ago. There have been a multitude of problems with my pc and as of now I have the latest bios version and 10.4a catalyst. My i5-750 is also clocked at 3.6ghz Anyone know what could be causing this?
That's strange try other games, do other games also lag? What are your temperatures (use the program 'hwmonitor' to check your temps) WHILE playing the game, can you screenshot all your temps and post it here. And at what resolution are you playing
1680 x 1050 ill check the temps 75 degrees max [editline]02:49AM[/editline] Do you think it could be faulty card?
I don't think so, if it was working fine 2 weeks ago.

Why are you using the beta drivers, the official 10.4 is already out.
The temp is 71 degrees maximum, I've tried 10.4, 10.4a, 10.3, 10.2. I can't think why it isn't working properly. And i've driver sweeped all of them.

What power supply is feeding this 5870? Lack of power can cause that.
700 watt ocz power supply
Check processes in task manager. Anything eating up all the resources? [editline]12:27AM[/editline] What applications are running as well as BC2 ? What are you measuring FPS with? Are you running it with AA on? [editline]12:27AM[/editline] AA will kill the FPS, and 40 would be expected.
I ran bc2 with 8x aa on a 32 man server and I was getting around 60-70 fps. Now I put everything on low and I still stutter when turning, like it can't load the textures properly :(

If he's getting the same FPS with a 5870 (GTX 275 is roughly the equal to a 4890 or 5830 for the most part), there's something wrong here.
