I am losing weight by eating 1000-1300 calories per day. I am 87kg and want to be 58kg. But, there is a kebab that is very good. I think it's my favorite food ever. It's 2000-2300 calories though. I was thinking of eating it only 1 day per week. Could I do 2 or 3 days though, and continue with my weight loss?
Just don't eat it. You will benefit from that.
probably be less taunting for you to just cut it out completely, then reintroduce it as an occasional treat when you reach desired weight
Just how many threads are you going to make? you have threads from everything to social & love problems to dieting problems... [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] You could like find most of these threads at their relevant sub forums.
Eat it once every two weeks and you should be fine.
I recently lost 85 pounds in 9 months and didn't have cheat days like that. Think about it, 2,000 calories is an average DAY'S worth of consumption for a human. All of that in only one kebab? I don't think it'd be worth it. Basically, it'll set you back two days. If you weren't trying to lose weight and had an above average metabolism, then I'd say go for it. But since you're trying to lose weight, I'd say hold off on it. Of course I can't stop you, though. Maybe it'll be something to look forward to after you reach your goal, but in moderation, that's the key.
To be honest, cutting down on calories by that much isn't exactly healthy. After a while you'll find that your body will initiate defence mechanisms and you'll actually start to store fat. Solution? Exercise with a balanced diet.
Oops, I just ordered it again. The day after I last had it. I really can't lose weight, because I am unable to stop eating food that tastes good.
[QUOTE=el Che;36556869]Oops, I just ordered it again. The day after I last had it. Until you learn that, you'll never lose the weight. Also, if you haven't had any growth spurts yet, those are still an option. I lost a lot of weight when I had mine. Your calorie intake also depends on how much you already weigh. I see you weight about 191 lbs and want to weight 127 lbs? That 64 pounds. You can't afford to be eating stuff like that, but you also don't need to cut down too much on calories. Once you get into the groove, you'll realize there's tons of things out there that taste good and are also good for you. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] Obviously you'll need to include a lot of exercise too. Your diet is a big part of it, though. Cut down on eating out. Not only are there better types of foods that you can cook at home, but you'd also be saving a lot of money.
Twice a day. Even better, go on a kebab diet and eat nothing but kebab
I play football and i loss 5kg of weight in 2 weeks, i didn't eat any fastfood or sweets, i ate lots of salad and vegetables, remember to eat properly though, i ate rye bread at mornings and evenings. Do not go to the kebab, homefood can be better!

[QUOTE=el Che;36556988]What food did you eat when you lose 85lbs?[/QUOTE] Well, I ate lots of different types of stuff. For breakfast, I'd have a bowl of cereal (whole grain), low calorie and gets you through the day. For lunch, I would sometimes have a turkey sandwich on wheat bread. Turkey slices are low in calories for the amount you can eat. You can have 6 slices for only 50 calories, depending on what brand you buy, and this is lunch meat I'm talking about. I'd also throw in some pretzels to my lunch sometimes. For dinner, I would mostly eat baked chicken breast with peas, corn, potatoes, etc. That stuff doesn't sound too bad, right? I had all of that while maintaining an intake of 1200 calories a day. Keep in mind I exercised every day. I'd walk/jog two miles every day after breakfast and then sometimes go for a night jog. One good tip I can give you is to count your calories. It's a great way to keep track and limit yourself from eating too much. Another thing is, you have to keep yourself busy. You may notice that you eat when you're bored. (Maybe you don't.) I did, though. Also, try eating at the table most of the time if you can. I find it, and studies have said, that sometimes people associate their meals with entertainment because of sitting in front of the TV or computer. I used to do it and constantly continue to eat because I would not pay attention to the amount due to being busy watching TV.
Well, I actually did that for around 2 weeks. I went from 94kg to 87kg. But then I got very bored of that food and started eating burger, kebab, etc.
If gaining weight is anything like losing weight, you [I][B]really[/B][/I] need to make sure you're getting a balanced diet, all meals every day. Exercise is a massive part of losing/gaining weight, too. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] [QUOTE=el Che;36557063]Well, I actually did that for around 2 weeks. I went from 94kg to 87kg. It seriously sucks, and can be difficult, but once you get past a week or two of those cravings, it's a smooth ride.
I will try it again, starting next week. Sandwich for breakfast (400 calories) + some random homecooked food for lunch (600 calories) + soup for dinner (100 calories) was actually working well for me until i got flu, became too sick to go outside, and started ordering unhealthy deliveries.

[editline]29th June 2012[/editline] Make sure you're also taking your vitamins.
Definitely don't eat as many kebabs as threads that you make. You'll gain weight fast.

Keep in mind that exercising burns calories, which you should be doing every day. Let's say 20 minutes of cardio burns 250 calories. (Don't take that as fact, I just made that number up.) That's 1750 more calories you can eat a week. Keep that in mind when you're counting calories. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] Also, link that kebab here, I've been struggling so hard to reach my quota of 2500 calories a day. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] Oh, and when eating and exercising, you should be eating your body weight in pounds in grams in protein a day. In your case, 87kg = 191lbs, therefore you should be eating 191g in protein a day. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] One final thing, this has been a good resource for me.
