my won't computer boot with my new seagate barracuda hd, it boots fine with the ssd and my old fucked one, boots fine with the fucked one and the new one, but when i have the ssd and the new one, it halts when posting at the hdd check, and neither are recognised. corsair force gt ssd. the harddrives not fucked i don't think, cos i booted to a linux live to back up all my shit from the old one, however the ssd wasn't plugged in cos I only have two sata cables power issue??
Sounds like your SSD is dead out of the box and the motherboard has issues reading it. But it could be a power issue, how many watts is your PSU?
no the ssd runs fine, i'm on it now. the new hd is a seagate barracuda which also runs fine as i copied all my stuff to it. the problem is when i have both the ssd and the new seagate plugged in at the time. 650w, it's been on 24/7 though for the last 3 years guess i need a new one anyway. [editline]20th June 2013[/editline] i guess it is power, because if i leave my usb soundcard plugged in the computer won't turn on until i unplug it then plug it in after. [editline]20th June 2013[/editline] I'll try powering it off a spare PSU for now
