I actually received this as an email at work. Damn shame too, Lotsa good stuff for businesses and such.
What a shame. I loved TechNet
Bear in mind that this is just TechNet Subscriptions, which most of the stuff available under that is already available under MSDN subscriptions, just a different name
Still a shame that it's being retired as an IT professionals oriented service though
