I was thinking of buying a new card, and i have a simple limit of 80 bucks. Is this a decent card for the price?

And yes I know its quite old.
The card isn't even decent anymore, but likely out of date this time next year.
I would just save up your money and get a decent dx11 card. they'll pay for themselves with hardware tesselation ( assuming you're gaming ).
What exactly will the role of the pc be?
Its role is just to play simple games, streaming media, watching HD movies, ect. My power supply I dont even know if it can handle a huge card. It has 480 watts but the fact is i dont want to overload it. A card like this should handle stuff like that. Im not going to be doing extreme things like playing some 2009 Dx11 games. Im not that type of person thats sits on my ass all day playing games.
Slight problem, I dont have a bank or credit card to use newegg. :(
Then you cant buy online.
Oh, really? -_-
Kinda pointless making a thread and wasting our time, unless you can name some computer stores nearby where you live (and link us up to their websites).

Mike is one of the people I know where he lives, those are the two closest to him. The rest are on the edge of town.
Why don't you just ask the people in the shops where you live?
Considering we don't know what they have and therefore cant reccomend anything other than online site, which, oh lawd, you cant even buy from.
Anyway, disregarding that, I think it is a good deal for your needs.
Well from those choices I would say this is the better card from them

But in this situation, I would seriously recommend getting a pre-paid credit card. And using that to get the best bang-for-buck.
also a side-note. I'm loll'ing hard at data corp. The images don't match up with the graphics cards posted - http://www.datacorp.ca/vdb.cfm

Oh wow, wow.
Oh, OP, yeah look at what the other people said about those things and stuff, because I didn't really look, but anything better than that must be good.

The first one I was going to buy anyway... thats the link in the first post.
what is a pre-paid card? Like a giftcard or somthing?
And the guy at data corp is from china, so he probably just goes on google and gets the photos.

yes but it's not really a bang-for-buck. Seems like more of a rip-off.

A pre-paid credit card. is a card you can take into a shop or such with a paypoint, along with the 80$ money. And you ask them to put the money on the card, and you just use the details of the card to purchase stuff, fully online compatible ( so long as the card type is supported ( maestro/visa/mastercard/etc.)

But the photos are entirely wrong! He's got a geforce 7300gs image for the 8400gs.
that is seriously unprofessional. To the point where I wouldn't even shop from him since it looks like he know's next to nothing about video cards....
