Anyone know of a place online to buy CPU fans? Need to replace a desktop CPU fan that my laptop uses. Looking for around 0.50 amps. $20 budget.
So you need a cpu fan for your laptop? Not for your desktop?
Yes. The laptop is nearly impossible to get into and I just can't be assed to buy a replacement fan for it. So I made a custom thingy for it to sit ontop of and positioned a desktop cpu fan to suck air out of it. Worked great until I stuck my finger into the fan blades. Now I require a replacement.
How large of a fan do you need for this makeshift cooler?
It doesn't matter. I've improved the box it sits under and retard proofed it from myself. The fan has a large, open area to sit at. I've located a fairly cheap 0.56A fan. However, I have no clue what a brushless cpu fan is compared to whatever a brushless cpu fan compares to. Any insight?

Of course a delta fan that pulls like 7 amps can move a shit ton of air, but it's due to the sheer RPM of the fan with highly inefficient blades. Look for fans by CFM and RPM. The higher the CFM at a lower RPM means the fan is more efficient.
