Nice the boss fights always seemed so different from the rest of the game.

The boss fights were literally outsourced so. Yeah.
So is it possible that this change will get ported to the PC, or has that ship sailed?
Let's just hope some of these changes come to pc
"then we decided it would be hilarious if we didn't release it on the platforms where the complaints originated from"
Only Wii U :(
I'd probably buy it for PC or PS3 if it were out for those, considering I only rented HR for PS3. Love the game though, i'd definitely buy this if it were on a platform I owned.
I like it better when bosses act like an average enemy except a lot stronger and A LOT smarter.
Maybe even build it up as a "mirror" fight where the boss evenly matches the PC in terms of equipment and skills.

If they just given Simons an assault rifle instead of a plasma one, it would've been a god-tier fight.
And of course there's nothing stopping the player from shoving a GEP gun up his ass or avoiding the fight altogether.
I'm holding out for a post-wiiU release DLC for PC users. Would be damn nice.
Considering that the boss fights were the major complaint of this game, does this now make the game near flawless?

The endings could have been done better
The endings could have been done better
Yeah, this would be my only other non-nitpicky complaint about the game if the boss fights are indeed fixed. I can give them some leeway for having to create an ending that gave players a choice that simultaneously had to fit with established Deus Ex lore, but it didn't really conclude anything in the narrative. The after-credits scene was also bewilderingly placed since it more or less entirely sets up the events of DX1.
Still a phenomenal game though.
If they do add it to PC I hope they would have an option to turn off the changes. Not that I actually liked the original boss battles but it's still always nice to have the option the play the game as it was originally.
If they truly completely redesigned the battles then I NEED IT.
I wonder if they could ever modify the battles to be talked out of or run away from, like in Deus Ex. It'd be anti-climatic, sure, but it'd be interesting to see how these augmented super soldiers act or think outside of 'we're here to fuck shit up'
You better fucking port that.
The only way HR could be any better is if they showed us upper Hengsha.
The endings were somewhat disappointing. After you make a choice, you just get a monologue from Jensen along with some stock footage. It would have been nice to, you know, actually get a glimpse of the consequences of your choice. Without that, what's the point?
I will play this entire game at least four more times through if they fix those fucking boss fights

this is probably by far the worst part of DX:HR, and if the rest of the game wasn't so bloody great (excluding the boss fights, and I do really hope we get the revisions on PC), it would be pretty much inexcusable. I can maybe accept the ending choice being four literal buttons, but there's no closure to the game at all, and if there's no destination to the journey, what's the point of the journey?
Again, the rest of the game is rich with content and detail, and most other subplots were resolved, but the big "ultimate choice" may as well not even exist. The final level wasn't too great, either.
why arent they fixing this for the PC did they even say anything about the non-WiiU versions?
god forbid you make the same changes to all the versions

Yeah, from what you could see of it from Tai Young Medical, it seemed to be a nice change in scenery, having a green, open city in daylight. I wonder what exactly was scrapped there.
In Deus Ex 1 you could find out before hand via hacking important people's computers some of the bosses kill phrases. You could cause them to spontaneously combust by speaking it to them before the fight even started.

I think any Deus Ex player who's played through the original and conversed about it with others probably knows that popular method of skipping the fights altogether. While I doubt that they'd implement killphrases for the HR bosses (unless they really want to reference the original game :v:), it'd be cool to be able to confront them in a way that isn't just shooting them to death - or, hell, avoiding confronting them entirely if possible, but then you'd need to learn one or two plotpoints via different means if they did that with, say, Barrett.
We need more bombs

and flatlander women
and drinks
and electronic old men (in the fresh)
and 0451
and Tracer Tong

i love games that do this, just like fallout, where you can either stealthily hack the computers and turn their own weapons on themselves or just bring a bigger gun to the party

What fucking infuriated me about HR is that they said their greatest flaw with Deus Ex 1 was not letting you beat all the bosses in a non-lethal manner, and then we get HR where the problem is even worse
I still love both games immensely but why point out a problem and then not fix it?
I wonder if they're going to change the Pacifist achievement to fit with the new boss battles, since now you don't have to kill them.
I'd pay for Director's Cut on PC, if this is genuinely the devs thinking "yeah we'll release the fixed one... on a different console!" or some bullshit to get more people to buy Wii Us it's kind of a dick move.
