While Microsoft did push our buttons I don't see them withdrawing their strategy just yet. They will probably continue this spiel next E3 with the new titles for the winter season like they did this year too while still keeping Halo 6 on their Xbox to make sure it keeps selling.
Either way, I hope Microsoft keeps supporting their W10 platform after the last Play Anywhere title at E3 launches.
Funny, I can tell almost every pose in that picture which animation it originated from.
"What's important for you in PC Gaming?"
To not be forced to install Windows 10 in order to play certain games.

Here what I put:
- Windows keyboard button - have an option to disable it or allow it to be keybound in the game
config. Many games don't have minimize support and some even crash. It's annoying and a waste to
have a conveniently placed button ignored while gaming.
- High performance/gaming mode - See anti-virus' gaming mode as an example. Disable unneeded
services and processes (first and third party) while gaming. Customizable white-list/black-list for each
game, service, or process. I don't need adobe flash updater while playing a non-flash game and
another person might want printer services active while playing.
- Multiple keyboard/mice/controller support - have an option to either clone an existing input device
instance or have it as a mutually exclusive input device with separate key sets. This is useful for
macros and simulators with high number of keybinds and not enough keys on the keyboard.
- Provide DirectX support to Linux, especially for older games (tbh I don't expect much)
- Better Win98/XP era game support
I got a keyboard that lets me disable the windows key when I play a game. The first time you hit the windows key and your face goes FUCKING SHIT, but then see your game continue as if nothing was pressed, you realize what a great fucking feature it is

this is one of the reasons I've been driven away from keyboards in gaming
I hate unbinding my winkey cause I use it quite often, even while playing games (borderless window program to the MAX)

It's like they know :tinfoil:

I don't actually know whether or not I should check More Competitive though. CoD is full of extremely toxic, extremely competitive people regardless of what platform you're on. The difference might be that on consoles not everyone has a communication peripheral.
I like how they included piratebay as an option for ~free~ pc games :v:

There's a lot of keyboards that come with software that'll automatically disable it when you launch a game, and re-enable it once you quit. I got the lamborghini of keyboards and when I found that feature I was like Yes Please.
I hit that key and went to desktop right as I hit my Genji ultimate for the game winning move and that was that. I had it. I needed a new keyboard anyway, and that was the last straw

i wasn't sure whether to check that off or not, so i left it blank.
i mean, i don't pirate stuff you can buy on steam or gog, just shit that isn't on the market anymore, really. it's technically abandoned at that point, so it's fully legal :D
also, torrenting mods helps too, for shit you can't normally find or big downloads.

The AAA piracy scene is basically dead in the water anyway with most of the major release groups on hiatus and Denuvo (though this might change soon), the only ones really left are small time indies and GOG games and that's just low.
Just tried to fill in the survey.
Get to question 15. "Of all the PC games you own, what percentage are:"
And it is now stuck on that question, as I enter 100 for "One-time purchase/ Download-to-own (DTO)"
But nope it says my answer has to be a % and refuses to continue.
Does not matter what valve I put in any boxes the total % does not increase.
Guess my opinion on PC gaming is not valid for Microsoft (sarcasm)

Well, it's fairly important for me that my OS doesn't kick me out of games for trivial shit like not being able to update because Microsoft can't do maths. That a valid reason?
i had to download a few things off of piratebay that I bought because the DRM prevented it from running on my computer.
Namely, some securom games and, well, GFWL stuff liked to not work at all.
[editline]9th July 2016[/editline]
I wouldn't consider that warez.

When GFWL was a thing I would buy the game legit and then download the crack because dealing with GFWL was always the worst.

You can make an offline account very easily. It's just that the option is hidden
It was a decent survey. The only part I didn't really like was the one where they ask you to select adjectives for brands. Only options were good things or "never heard of this company". Personally I would have preferred to rate iOS expensive and Razer "for tools", but instead I had to go for "for everyone" and "for gamers".
I guess I could have lied and said I have never heard of either one.
I was honest about pirated games, because that's what surveys are for. But I'm pretty sure they're going to consider the answers to that question are not reliable anyway.

I left most of those blank, it worked either way.

IMO it doesn't really give them much useful information to let you rate things negatively, if you don't rate them good quality or good value they already know you don't think they're good quality. To give them a negative rating, don't give them a positive one.

I personally just select stuff based on what I believe is the targeted audience.
"For everyone" is a catch-all and "for gamers" is entry-level. I don't expect much from the gamer crowd except to know better than to have hardware/software that would negatively affect game performance.
Razer is alright. While albeit a bit gimmicky, they are not utter gamer-trash. Though there are way better quality and value (non-gaming) brands for the most part. Likewise with Alienware.
iOS can't run a majority of the games available so it can't be considered "for gamers". Likewise with Linux.
Skype can not into gaming unless it's tabletops.

I interpreted it a bit differently myself, I used "for everyone" to describe brands that are friendly to people who aren't enthusiasts and for gamers for products that are really only targeted at or make sense for gamers

Lol, iOS, Alienware and Razer should just not have anything really, they're all overpriced because you're basically paying for the logo and company name.

i did this for alienware, razer, ios and xbox. clicked "never heard of them" or "for everyone" since it makes them sound base.
