My 500gb drives SATA port broke off, is there anyways to fix it?

I need it, it has my fraps recordings on it.
The plastic piece in in the sata cable
Superglue it back on? :v:
If you had an identical drive you could replace the PCB I think. I don't know much about drives though. I would try glueing it back on though. Can you run it externally?
Since the pins are still there, just glue the plastic tab back on.
If that fails , you can always replace the PCB like Brt5470 said but you'll need to find one with the same revision and everything which could be a pain in the ass.
I wonder how you managed to break it off, they're pretty though...
How the fuck did you manage that?
Seems like a really awkward part to break off :S
That happened to me as well, but it was on a 5.25in enclosure so I just ditched that system entirely.
You can probably get away with gluing it back on. The pins will slide into place but only somewhat easily. Don't force it or you'll break a pin off like I did.
Now to find a way to get the plastic bit out of the SATA cable without breaking the bit.
Poke at it with a paperclip or something.
Buy a new connector and solder it on. Swapping the PCB is the worst idea for something simple like this, as you need to find the exactly model with similar manufacture date, as well as swapping an eeprom
