My computer has been all shitty lately, and when i try to boot it up, the fans start and all the "non required stuff" is working, but it is beeping like "Beep.. Beep Beep Beep.. Beep" and then after about 10 seconds, it starts again. Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know what it is, or how to fix it?
I dont know what motherboard i have, i got a Nvidia 8800GT graphics card, and i really do not know what the rest is... I am writing this on my dads laptop...
I know i posted a thread in Windows on this, but i now know i should have posted it here...
Try googleing the motherboard beeps. It sounds silly when I put it like that.
I found a web page last year that displayed a table linked with all the common variations of beeps and the fault they referred to.
It does help trying to find out your motherboard model as some have a slight variation of beeping.
One of the most common I hear is the RAM is slightly popped out, or needs resitting. Then again I've read places of far worse causes where a new motherboard is required.
Here's a link to one I usually go to: http://www.5starsupport.com/info/beep_codes.htm
and here's a google search of BIOS beep codes.
It is a Fujitsu Computers Siemens computer atleast... It says that on the motherboard aswell.
This is probably retarded, but is your RAM in correctly? Is everything plugged in?
