Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced widespread criticism on Thursday for using an image from the video of the killing of a U.S. reporter in a tweet that aimed to criticize Palestinian militants. The message, posted on the official Twitter account of the prime minister's office, compared the Palestinian militant group Hamas to the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq and included a still from the video showing the beheading of American reporter James Foley. The tweet later appeared to be deleted. Several Twitter users perceived the tweet as insensitive and accused the prime minister's office of trying to exploit Foley's tragic death for propaganda purposes.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/21/netanyahu-james-foley-tweet-isis_n_5698362.html
I wonder what Hamas and IS feel about each other. They are unified by Islam and so it makes sense that they would be comrades. But there are often opposing sects of the same base religion. Like in Ireland we have/had Christians V Christians. So it isn't a guarantee Hamas and IS are buddies. I will accept someone saying two different militant Christian groups are pretty much the same. Gun totting Northern Irish Protestants/Catholics for example, are the same in my eyes. Likewise, I'd consider two militant Islamist groups to be the same. It's true that Hamas and IS are in completely different situations. But we can't ignore similarities between the groups while gleefully pointing out differences.
I wouldn't be surprised if IS wanted Hamas dead for one reason or another.
This could easily be true. They might have different religious views for example. But at the end of the day, they both follow Islam in an orthodox fashion, they are both militant and they are both morraly repugnant. They might be enemies, but that wouldn't discount their similarities.
It's quite likely that IS considers the Palestinians to be "westernized" due to how long they've lived under a relatively western regime with western laws, which would probably mean killing a lot of them and re-educating their children.
Don't think the Palestinians will accept IS in any way, one reason is there are no secular problems like we see in Iraq where Shia and Sunni are killing each other for shitty reasons.
I remember a thread that was basically Hamas going "holy shit, ISIS, you crazy" earlier this year after I think the big scchoolgirl kidnapping incident. Had trouble finding it. I don't support terrorists, but it was darkly humorous that even Hamas has standards.
Actually, a lot of the supporters of IS here in Turkey don't really care much about Israel, saying their real enemies are the infidels among ourselves. The IS officially stands by saying "It is not the time yet to deal with Israel", Hamas is really common people that became terrorists through pain and suffering while IS is the ones that want to inflict pain and suffering. Big difference here.
I believe Hamas would want nothing to do with ISIS. I believe ISIS is being led by the dajal or the anti-Christ. Seriously, how could anyone join a group that promotes murder, rape and terrorism in the name of what they called, Islam. ISIS is SHAITAN incarnate. They are the REAL devil worshiper . I pray to Allah that ISIS be smogged by Ebola. As for HAMAS. I believe these terrorist group came about because of Israel constant oppression of the Palestinians. Supposedly if Israel didn't treat Palestine like shit, these terrorist group would never exist in the first place. If there is oppression, terrorism will appear.
Hopefully they get in a fight about who is the worst and kill each other in a bloody battle in some remote place.
I think its pretty obvious who is the worst.
Comparing Hamas and the IS is like comparing your angry shotgun-toting neighbour with Timothy McVeigh.
Pretty certain that both Hamas and al-Qaeda have denounced ISIS, and won't recognize/legitimize the caliphate.

Do you know how many Muslims IS has killed and is killing every day?
Not only are they not aligned by any stretch of the imagination, the two groups are completely against eachother. According to ISIS, Hamas are apostates and they consider fighting them to be the first step towards taking down Israel.
Netyanshu should dip his chips elsewhere.
I think its pretty obvious who is the worst.
Well yeah, but one foot could wash the other, keeping the hands clean, if you know what I mean.
Unified by Islam? Do you know how many Muslims IS has killed and is killing every day?
Yes a group of Islamic militants are killing Muslims en masse. They obviously don't hold the exact same ideology, but the religion of Islam is still a commonality between them. Just like in my previous example where I said militant protestants and militant catholics are unified by Christianity.
