Right, so we'll never see the next update in that case.
"Minecarts going in a circle will make any minecart close to them go super fast."
Nooooo my hotwheels launchers.
Took them like 3 years to patch that?

It was hardly a critical bug
It was hardly a critical bug
Wasn't even a bug, it was an unintentional feature
hey now how about some optimization
please mojang?
It was hardly a critical bug
At this point I probably wouldn't point this out as being an example of their bugfix scheduling, likely they just suddenly felt like it.
The thing is I thought they fixed it in 2011, then I guess they brought it back.
Took them like 3 years to patch that?
I'm sure it got patched ages ago, it must have come back with the new stuff.
oh and fix the white seams between blocks on ATI cards too, that'd be great.

You funny guy.

They actually patched it and it came back seemingly

Game runs fine now if not install optifine
See, that's how much Facepunch blindly dislikes Minecraft now.
You fix bugs, and they mock you for it. I suppose you guys would rather have the game an even buggier mess?

Current release runs fine for me without optifine, but these snapshots have been getting really slow lately.

Except their priority on bugs is fucked.
There's a major bug that's been in these snapshots since December that hasn't been fixed yet relating to hoppers and furnaces eating items. Its easily reproducible and yet it hasn't been fixed...

I'm not going to defend them on that front, but people are definitely acting angry over bugfixing without specifying a logical reason why like you just did.
Do Mojang not have a bug tracker or anything?

I think people are more raging over bug fixes that were actually relatively useful and not really game harming at all, like the old cart boosters.

They do have a bug tracker, actually.

Look at MC-8022 for an example of the bug I quoted up there.

Except they really did harm the game in that they took massive amounts of space to build and were just absurd as far as gameplay goes. And its not like they didn't replace it with something useful, they added booster tracks which do the same thing in way less space and are make 100x more sense than weird contraptions you'd only be able to figure out if you looked them up online.
