Mostly posting here to be positive all of the parts are compatible, but thoughts on different parts I could get for a better price or anything are
welcome. I have about a $1000 budget for parts. It's my first gaming pc so i don't know a ton about hardware. Thanks!

I'd go for the i5 3570k but everything else looks good

For that you'll need a z77 board. Gigabyte and Asus are good, asrock would be a cheaper but still decent alternative.
So if i swap out the i5 2500k for the i5 3750k and the msi board i currently have on there for a gigabyte z77 ittl be compatible still?
The Antec Three Hundred is a really outdated case and has no room for cable management, go for either http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146075 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811345015&Tpk=bitfenix%20beta

I switched it out for the second one, thanks. Saves some money too.
You're buying an outdated GPU, get the 7950 instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125414
Much better card.

New set up. Looking good?
IMO, I would swap CPU with AMD's FX-8120 octo-core. I use one and its alot cheaper and powerful than an i5.

It really isn't more "Powerful" than an i5-3570k, I believe the i5 can easily beat the FX in most benchmarks without overclocking of any sort.

It's cheaper for a reason.

It's true. The builddozer CPU is quite sad. Go for an I5 ivy bridge!

Don't help if you don't know much about this stuff. Saying "I own one and it's pretty good" can be helpful when talking things like cases, headphones, etc., where there's some more physical attributes like airflow, accessability, comfort and so on, but when talking CPUs and the like, we're only talking benchmarks.
I read some reviews about it and im sticking with the i5
