According to Mrs. Burns, jack-o-lanters like the one on the left are 'too scary' for kids.
Halloween has come and gone for another year in Canada but how it was celebrated in Kingston, Ontario this year might threaten whether it is celebrated at all in 2013. According to concerned mother Diane Burns, Halloween in her town has become too scary for children and she has formed a committee that is petitioning the city council to have the ghoulish night regulated. If the group gets their way all houses hoping to celebrate Halloween will have to submit to the city a detailed list of how they plan to decorate their house and a governing body will deem whether or not it is appropriate.
To find out what exactly constitutes as an appropriate way to celebrate Halloween, host Peter Oldring spoke to Mrs. Burns via the telephone.
We want to know what you think: Is Halloween too scary and should it be regulated? Let us know in the comments below or head to Twitter and tweet us costumes that you think are too scary by using the hashtag #tooscary.
"I believe my kid is a pussy so lets ruin Halloween for everybody"
Good lord... really?
Oh fuck off, a young ass kid walking with his parents came up and got candy out of my hands, while my step dad was coming at him with a chainsaw(the chain was off).
While teenagers were gettin spooked to high hell.
This bitch is just dumb.
I thought this was Kingston, Jamaica for some reason...
How do these types of mothers exist, no, really, what goes through these women's heads?
I just don't understand.

Yeah, and if all goes well, we should start charging a $50 application fee!
Now i have a reason to buy enough armaments to take over a small country,in this case, some fat mom the size of a small country.

Thank god someone like her has the courage to say what we all think. I can't step outside my house it's so scary during Halloween.

That is actually quite kickass and I wish Halloween had more decorations in my neighborhood. Everybody prefers Christmas instead.
Kids need to stop being pussies. When I was wee I was playing GTA and watching horror movies.
Kind of reminds me of that episode of King of the Hill.

I think pumpkins are scarier after Halloween.

This just in: Kingston out of bubblewrap every Haloween? Find out why after the break!
Fuck are you kidding me
Do skeletons give you a heart attack or something

Nothing beats the Halloween atmosphere.
Shame the Irish don't like their own holiday around these parts.
think of the children guys
think of the children guys
The children like Halloween.
I can see there being some merit here but I love the scary aspect of halloween, before I moved to college I would decorate my parent's house and it would end up being scary enough where a significant amount of younger kids refused to go near it but that's all part of the holiday. If they think it's too scary just have them skip over the house.

FIFY
And... Fuck this shit gets depressing. I'll have to wrap my boy in a bubble if these jack hole types get their way.
Guys guys, imagine a world run by people like this.
That is scarier than any Halloween decoration.
Reminds me of when a certain city (which one was it?) put up cushions on light poles, etc. because a few cell phone users were too dumb to look up while texting and kept hitting their heads.
