• I have a 1945 penny, what do I do with it?

So I was in starbucks earlier and I tried to use my gift card thing. The cash ran out so I owed $1.72 and gave the lady $2. When I got my change, I went back to my table and sat down, just kind of threw the coins on the table. Later I noticed one of them kind of looked like one of those shitty Chucky Cheese's tokens, on the back in big letters it says "ONE CENT" and below that in small letters it says "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" with laurels on either side. I picked it up, turned it around and looked at the print date, and it says 1945 D. What can I do with this? Is it worth any more than one cent? Will anyone on Facepunch buy it for $100?
eat it and post results
It's worth more than 1 cent, my friend got a penny from 1950 appraised and it was worth like 11 cents. That's like 11x the profit.
put it in your ear or other bodily hole post pictures
its not worth much, keep it till you are 70 and give it to your son.
I'll give you one cent for it
Put in the coin jar. Come up with 1.49 on a buck fifty soda machine.
2 dollars is worth 3. :v:
shove it up ur dik
The U.S. minted huge quantities (for the time) of coins as WW2 came to an end, so anything from around that period will be very common among collectors. In average circulated condition a 1945-D cent is worth 5 to 7 cents. A nice uncirculated one might retail for all of 50 or 60 cents. You're rich!

I, along with a good portion of my family, are coin collectors. That coin isn't worth very much. Even if it were the first edition of that version penny that came out in the very early 1900s, it wouldn't be worth more than a quarter. Also, coin prices depend heavily on the condition their in. It's obviously circulated, so the price automatically decreases from that. Depending on how many dings and cuts on it, will determine the rest of the price.

------------- Never mind , Its actually 10-85 cents.

I have a british penny from like 1864 or something like that. I think it's still in a tub with other coins...
Does it have two wheat "leaves" around the back side of the penny? If yes, it's just a 1945 wheat penny. I have bunches of them. Each is worth about 3 cents.
Melt it and make a mini statuette of Garry.
1945 isn't a rare date, it's not worth much more than a penny.
It's worth millions. Go to a coin collector and wave it in their face like the hot shit you really are.
I have a bunch of old Nazi Germany and Soviet coins. They really aren't worth that much but make a great collectible.
I have a mexican coin from the 1800s and its not worth shit. You might wanna pass it on for a few years before acting like its big bucks.
Swap it out for several billion Zimbabwe dollars.
Stick it... IN YOUR ASS. Post pics.
The only penny worth anything is the extremely rare 1943 copper penny, not the steel ones. If it sticks to a magnet then it's made of steel and not worth shit. If it doesn't, well then you may just be holding $60,000.

So? I've got tons of pennies from 1919.
