I have a Phenom 9650 Quad Core 2.3ghz runs great and everything, but if I wanted to upgrade to a Phenom 2 Quad core would I have to change my motherboard or anything inside my computer?
First, tell us what motherboard you have.
A program called CPU-Z can help you with that, download it and take a picture of the window displaying the "mainboard" tab.
(I'm sure you're familiar with using the printscreen function.)
Yeah, because some AM2+ motherboards can take AM3 processors with a BIOS update (although they can only use DDr2 ram :crying:)
There I didn't know what tabe you wanted so I did one of the motherboard and one of the main page.

That iMedia 5080 should be able to take a AM3 CPU.
