The U.S. House of Representatives Armed Services Committee has endorsed a $488 million increase in military aid to Israel, which would pay for Israel's procurement and development of additional rocket and missile interception systems. The committee last week approved the defense authorization bill proposal submitted by its chairman, California Republican Howard McKeon. According to the wording of the proposal, the U.S. will allocate another $268 million to Israel in 2014 for the development of two interception systems
http://www.haaretz.com/mobile/.premium-1.528784?v=5D81880EDA5164DAAFC6F3BE8C296F43 When is enough, enough?
Originally thought you were talking about California.
I could say some typical "Why do they let this happen why!" type stuff but I expected nothing less from a country that can't sort out its own finances and a state that rims so much fucking anus that their nasal hair is covered in flecks of shit.
Hello tech support? I restarted my government like you said but it still seems to be broken could you send me a new one?
Look, if you have such a hard-on for Israel, why don't you marry her? I mean, it's nice to constantly give her gifts, but you can't stay here with us if you just intend to use us for money- money that you then blow on your girlfriend rather than going out and trying to make something of what we've given you. I mean honestly. You can't honestly expect us to keep feeding you, paying for your healthcare, housing you, clothing you and giving you a pretty substantial yearly allowance if all you are going to do is blow it on some random country that we're not even sure we approve of yet. It's time to either start pulling your own weight around here instead of throwing temper tantrums when we find out about the shit you've been pulling behind our backs, or leave and go live with Ms. Assad, if that's what you want. Another thing, all these fights you've been getting into have to stop, and your grades have to improve if you plan on staying relevant in the 21st century. Just something to think about. I'm glad we had this talk. Seriously though, either shape up or get out. We're tired of your shit.
I don't believe I would have decided to do that with the money if I were asked. Pisses me off that they went that way with it, actually. It would be different if I knew without a doubt what the return was. Like, is it an investment? Or is it just pouring money on a fire? No.. even if there was a back end, I don't think I would just toss half a billion dollars at Israel so they could make missiles (even if they are "defensive"). Whoever makes decisions like that is not representing my interests at all.
But... But... Israel is important! They were oppressed in a holocaust seventy years ago! Something something Christian prophecy! (and I mean no disrespect there) They're our only ally in the Middle East! They provide us with oil, and a place to pop down military bases! They're unstable, and we have to help them! No. Honestly, I'm kind of tired of it all. Israel didn't have any of these issues, and was a peaceful tri-religious region before we showed up and planted a bunch of entitled (What else can you realistically call a community that, while not even natively descended from any Israel-region Hebrews, just showed up and started bulldozing one day?) Jewish immigrants there after WWII. Israel as we know it didn't even exist, it was another Arabic region. And everyone living there, be they Arabic or Hebrew, was fine with that. And now everything's gone to crap, and we've only got ourselves to blame.
That the USA spends most of its time attached to the cock of a country that is perpetrating a slow genocide against an identifiable minority, stealing and destroying their property, using the smallest excuse to slaughter them with white phosphorous, JDAMs and artillery, and denying them clean water, food and medical aid goes against everything that the USA claims to stand for.
Originally thought you were talking about California.
You're getting welfare mixed up with California debt. As the chart above shows, California doesn't suck up much welfare dollars.

Also I don't believe you're reading the chart correctly, its percentage. California actually has the second most people on foodstamps in the country. That being said it is doing extremely well for its population compared to the state with the most people on foodstamps, texas. Hopefully the interactive chart will help clear things up. Finally foodstamp use is rising uniformly across the states, even Maryland the richest state went up by 22% from 2010-2011. Everyone is struggling.
This one seems more balanced.
Mostly the color scale is different, which is why that one looks so horrible. I looked into the reason why California has such high welfare spending, it is due to we aren't as strict and provide more benefits for people on welfare it seems. http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/compare_state_spending_2011pH0c Debt wise, it seems we are about 2% more than the average despite paying more than any other state for welfare and a few other things. Doesn't help that my area due to stupidity recently has nearly 15% unemployment. The current republican party seems to be degrading pretty consistently from what I've seen for the past few years.
