After racking a decent amount of hours in the game it really isn't all THAT bad. The major issue stems from that it is a system designed to get you to keep spending. You have crafting parts (which can be used to craft cards) and credits which are used to buy loot boxes. Problem is that duplicates give you credits which encourages you to get another lootbox instead of crafting parts.
Its an awful system but i got all the cards I wanted within days and barely noticed it after that. Doesn't mean it isn't terrible tho
it won't be fixed unless those fucking cards are out of the game

I really liked the game when I played the Alpha/Beta, it's a shame what happened happened but I still think there is plenty of time for EA to make it right.
In terms of the gameplay, I really don't like where it is. A huge portion of the game has extremely arcadey elements, then they make the movement super realistic and tactical and it just feels weird.
I feel bad for everyone who bought this

Cards are fine, it's how you acquire them that is the problem.
