Assemble a animation from a fuck-tonne of pictures, best process?

For one of my projects, I was thinking that as a way to show proof of working (necessity alongside the submission of the project), I would gather my entire collection of screen dumps, and put them all into a single video. Problem is though that there would be no hope in hell of manually adding every picture into a program and creating the animation from that, because there are more than a thousand of these (love you, fraps). Anyone know any way to do this? If it matters, frame rate is definitely not a problem as each screen dump has roughly five seconds of spacing apart, and so everything can be played at 20 fps or something and it would get the idea across. I just want all the pictures going in sequence, that's it.
Thanks in advance anyways.
