I want to make videos of myself painting in Photoshop CS5, as a portfolio piece, so that others can view my process. I need a screen capture software that
-Isn't shitty. Basically not CamStudio, I tried that on a project today and it didn't work out well.
-Can record for up to 3-4 hours
-Free, or has a trial that doesn't leave a huge watermark
Any help you guys can provide would be very appreciated.
This was the painting I wanted to record, because I feel like posting it

Fraps always shows framerate in my photoshop, and it'll record it.
Why did I quote you.
turn on monitor aero desktop (DWM) in the settings in fraps (assuming you already have it)
I use Xsplit with the Local Recording option. It's nice.
Try OBS, it has a local record function, it doesn't use up that much of your cpu usage either.
Problem with Fraps is that it makes the videos in huge ass files.

Camtasia seems popular along the 3d modelling community.
