Dax is a character from the comic Negative One.
The painting took 23 hours over the course of 13 days and I only really did it because I wanted to try something new.
I've not really made anything this serious of complex on a canvas before that wasn't related to a school exam.
Sorry about the size:

I made a video with the work process too:

- Acrylics and gold paint. I mostly used a brush though the texture of the green frame was made by pressing tin foil against wet paint.
Not to be a douche but it looks kinda...
Gay.

Or it could be because of the picture itself? :v:
It looks pretty good, the hair looks awesome.
The shading on the skin seems a bit off at the chest though.
Haha, I suppose I should be expecting the worst from you FP. Thanks for not disappointing. :P
The shading along with the whole chest/shoulder area is pretty fucked up. I'm still rather happy with it though it's getting pretty close to the whole furry art business.
I don't know if it's really furry if it's pretty much a drawing of the greek god Pan :v:
Have you drawn anything else with this technique before?

A lot of people have considered it furry art so I just wanted to throw it out there.
I have done some paintings this way before but they've been done under pressure (School exams, that sort of thing) so this is really the first painting on a canvas I've done without feeling under too much pressure. - Of course this painting was done with a deadline which was within 2 weeks but it's still a lot less pressure than a 5-hour exam.
The objects in the background look very flat and lifeless and the character's muscle shadows are very basic and only appear around the lines.
That's my only gripe.
