Very beautiful atmosphere. The gameplay is a bit one-sided, but the world you're put into is so amazing. If you haven't played the game, I highly recommend it.
I wish they would put the damn season pass on sale.
Its worth a playthrough even if some people think its shit compared to the 1st game
It was worth it for me at the original launch price I paid for it. Managed to get nine playthroughs out of it.
Gameplay is pretty trash in comparison to the previous games, story and setting is stellar though. I'd recommend playing on easy because gun fights can get really tedious, playing on hard just drags the game out.

They did in the earlier sales, I think they caught on to it by now.
Solid game. It has some flaws (like all games) but all in all, definitely worth it.
Don't listen to the twits that say it's shit, they're all morons who can't accept anything less then absolute perfection.

They did at one point, I got it for £3.99.
Absolutely fantastic art direction and scale, that alone is almost worth the buy.
If you like shooters, don't buy this. If you like Systemshock/Bioshock, don't buy this. If you like a good history, and well developed characters, don't buy this.
I never thought I'd say I enjoyed Bioshock 2 more.
Looking back, my playthrough of Infinite had more frustration than the other two games, because for no reason the ability to carry medikits, [del]EVE[/del] Salts, and more than two weapons was gone.
GOTYAY, if you don't like it's because it's high art, and only enlightened intellectuals, such as myself, can grasp its plot.
Wasn't the story just Looper with racism?
Wasn't the story just Looper with racism?
The racism got completely shadowed halfway through the game.
That's the main flaw in the game, in my opinion. It doesn't have a strong setting, despite it having one of the most visually stunning ones. You get some nice establishment of the world in the first hour of the game, but then it completely forgets about it to focus on Elizabeth and it's [sp]multiverse[/sp] thing. For example, the Comstock House (the insane asylum chapter) had absolutely no lore behind it, it's just the spooky place that Elizabeth was in. Who were the Boys of Silence? Why did they exist? To be spooky? Why were the people there apparently being indoctrinated? It just seemed like a callback to Bioshock 1.
Definitely worth it for 6 quid.
The game is not the almighty Game of the Decade which was crafted by gods but its certainly a beautiful game that really has its moments, its just a fun shooter.
Well worth the current price.
Kinda shit compared to the praise it got but it is kinda worth the price.
not worth the 30 euros I paid for it though. Worst thing I've bought.
My favourite game of last year. You don't like it as much, good for you.
Pretty shit characters, story and gunplay, but the setting can get gorgeous at times.
I don't understand why people think this game is so much "meh". I see many things in this game: a beautiful, colourful and powerful art direction from the beginning to the end, which makes Columbia one of the most intriguing and memorable places in my own gaming experience; I see an imaginative scenario with complex ties, though a bit rough on the edges; I see a thrilling gameplay experience, with fantastically dynamic combats throughout idyllic places accompanied by great music; and I see Elizabeth. Need I say more?
Everyone says BioShock Infinite is shit compared to BioShock (1), but you can't deny that some things seem pretty tame in the latter when compared to the former (or even non-exisiting), like exterior visuals. Also the fact that Elizabeth or a similar character wasn't there, someone to accompany you throughout the game and pretty much be the game itself. Why give so much shit to this game? Did it get superior reviews to what you expected, and you felt the need to belittle it? Someone explain.

How is the story anything like Looper?
I really hated the story, but I liked the gameplay.

it's like the same thing because something time travel something

Why do people even make these jokes? I don't think anyone tries to defend the game by saying it's for superior intellects or anything. That pretty much exists solely because of that stupid video from a while back.

So you're saying the game is better because it looks pretty? The art direction is the only thing this game has going for it.
The plot is shit. The gameplay is shit. Just because a turd is shiny, doesn't it make it not be shit.
It's really disappointing how underutilized Columbia is. You have this beautiful looking sky city with so many opportunities to explore and delve into that time period that the city is frozen in, yet the game never bothers to do so. Columbia is just there, you can swap it out for anything else and nothing would change.
I never liked the original Bioshock that much (gameplay and combat were too clunky), but it did a great job with its story and atmosphere. Rapture was as much a character as you or Ryan were. Everything was intertwined and tied together very nicely. Infinite is just all over the place, more or less.

Explain to me precisely why the rest is so shit because I don't think I've ever heard it from anyone in detail.
Once again, the season pass remains full price.

Two weapon limit, fewer plasmids/vigors and less enjoyable weapons, the guns didn't feel like they had as much kick to them, less environment wandering, for all the art direction Columbia didn't have quite the amazing feel of Rapture, really the only fun thing about the gameplay was the skylines. A lot of people considered the story to have less substance than the original's.
