You're perfectly welcome to like his games. He's definitely been deeply involved with some good ones.
Doesn't change that the guy is an insufferable pretentious douche.
I'll say my expectations when I found out this was funded with FIG were pretty low, but I'm liking what I'm seeing. And despite being more of a point-and-click thing, Rhombus of Ruin felt like a TRUE Psychonauts experience.
Not gonna get hyped, but I'm hopeful. Psychonauts is one of my all-time favorites, so it has a lot to live up to. Hope it can come even somewhat close.

He's said some dumb things around the time of Gamergate and did a really bad job managing the Double Fine Adventure development. As far as I know, those are the big things, so if you want to hate him for that, there it is.
Personally I find those to be kinda shitty, but ultimately eh. Disappointing, but not enough to HATE the guy like some do. He's a genuinely passionate developer. He's had his low moments, but I can't help but respect him.
Tim has said some stupid things and has a bad track record with management, but other than that I can't help but like him. Especially in the Psychonauts vault viewer commentary.

Anyway, I'm still cautiously hopeful. The gameplay is looking nice and Rhombus of Ruin's writing truly felt like Psychonauts.
Tim is a fucking asshole, but damn does he and his team make good video games
