Taking music off my ipod and putting it on my computer

I can't figure out how to install GNUPod, and DoubleTwist won't recognize the music on my iPod. I've also tried EphPod and CopyTransv, but the former wouldn't recognize my iPod and the latter would only copy the first 100 songs.

I have a 2nd gen iPod touch, and I have a feeling it's going to start shitting out soon. Any help?
