Well, pretty much just a general thread for bands that you think deserve more listeners. (Try to keep a genre with the ones you post too, so people know, or at least describe the type of music some how.) I personally think Enter Shikari should be getting more, it's "Post-hardcore, Electronica, and Metalcore" according to Wikipedia. The start of the song I have on here gets better at around one minute in my opinion. They have a lot of good music though.
Post Rock bands like Explosions In The Sky and God Is An Astronaut I don't know anyone irl who knows what post rock is
Misfits....We need more fiends.
Opeth is like death metal that is tolerable for non-death fans such as myself
from what I've seen Opeth has heaps of fans
Insomnium In my opinion the best band ever.
Omar Rodriguez Lopez He obtained some fame for being the guitarist for The Mars Volta (which is also an awesome band) but his solo stuff and side projects are simply amazing El trio de Omar Rodriguez Lopez El Grupo Nuevo de Omar (this project has the same singer from TMV so it sounds similar to them (also, is in english)) Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group Overall he is a brilliant musician and is horribly underrated [editline]7th January 2011[/editline]
Post Rock bands like Explosions In The Sky and God Is An Astronaut I don't know anyone irl who knows what post rock is
Have you ever heard of If These Trees Could Talk? I would say The Beatles, but they are such a popular band... just, not with todays generation. I'll be walking down the hall in school, quitely huming "Let it Be" then I hear another random guy singing some crappy rap song.
Giant Squid fo sho. Criminally underlistened band

They had their time, and their still having it. They don't need any more fans than they have already
Omar Rodriguez Lopez, The Protomen and Godspeed You! Black Emperor
I love the Protomen and Omar i'll have to check out the other one.
GY!BE is my favorite Post-Rock band. Fucking amazing.
I'm listening to Rockets Fall on Rocket Falls by them and i def like it. Any albums or songs that you'd recommend?
Thread should be renamed to what metal fans think should be popular, what electronica fans think should be popular, what hip-hops fans think should be popuplar, etc. Anyways to at least contribute, I'm not going to name a band, but I do think the EBM genre is under-appreciated.
rename thread ...... no
I'm listening to Rockets Fall on Rocket Falls by them and i def like it. Any albums or songs that you'd recommend?
F#A#∞ (Eff Sharp Ay Sharp Infinity) is their first and probably most popular album. It's great, "soundtrack of the apocalypse". I can't decide if that album or their second, 'Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven." is my favorite. It's real hard for me to chose.
Post Rock bands like Explosions In The Sky and God Is An Astronaut I don't know anyone irl who knows what post rock is
Rated winner because while post-rock needs more fans, I do actually know at least one person who's big into post-rock.

I agree. And honestly, it's pretty difficult to pick a favorite genre since everything is so varied.
