The test was conducted at the country's long-range missile launch site near its west coast. It is the latest in a series of tests and launches carried out by the isolated nation. The United States issued a statement criticising North Korea's action. "We call on North Korea to refrain from actions and rhetoric that further destabilize the region and focus instead on taking concrete steps toward fulfilling its commitments and international obligations," the state department said. Leader Kim Jong-un supervised the test, state media report, during which "the engine spewed out huge flames with a deafening boom". The country would now be able to "keep any cesspool of evils in the earth including the US mainland within our striking range," Mr Kim was quoted as saying.
BBC With how N. Korea has been pissing off China and Russia, I wouldn't be surprised if we see the powder keg go boom really soon here.
Would be interesting to see more pictures of the actual engine so we can figure out what it's a likely clone of to get a good estimate of its capabilities. If the North Koreans built a completely new design I would be impressed.
NK also claims to have unicorns. Just saying.

I'll believe it when i see it.
It probably uses the cold Fusion power source they created a while back.
What will these innovators grace us with next? [Del]Alcubierre drive[/Del] Glorious Leader Kim Jong Un Drive when?
NK also claims to have unicorns. Just saying.
They never claimed to have unicorns. They said they found an area talked about in Korean myth.

NK uses isolation to maintain its dictatorship. Isolation, starvation, and cruelty are the three tenets of the kim dynasty to stay in power. We need to approach north korea not with fear, but with perseverence, knowing that every action we take with the country has to be with bringing kim to justice in mind. For those who want to help North Korean refugees nkinusa.org libertyinnorthkorea.org nkinusa.org/concert ^ we're doing a charity concert this friday if you're in the DC area
NK also claims to have unicorns. Just saying.
And they will have it sooner or later. Like it or not these people are advancing. Hopefully we do something to put an end to this before they have the capability to launch these things.
And they will have it sooner or later. Like it or not these people are advancing. Hopefully we do something to put an end to this before they have the capability to launch these things.
Putting my money on the "later" time frame rather than "sooner".
Putting my money on the "later" time frame rather than "sooner".
both are probably within 10 years
And they will have it sooner or later. Like it or not these people are advancing.
Putting my money on the "later" time frame rather than "sooner".
And everybody was saying the same shit when they began nuclear testing. "oh ho just another bluff" "oh fuck" The second they have the capability to launch nuclear weapons we have on our hands a HUGE fucking security issue. This shit isn't a joke anymore.

This shit isn't a joke anymore.
North Korea will most likely collapse in on itself in the next 20 to 30 years anyway, I can't imagine it being a significant world problem that they might get ICBMs that might be able to carry a nuke that they might use on another nation.
Unless they shoot a missile at south korea or maybe japan the only one who's getting fucked is NK. Provided that they don't undergo some insta-improvement, that is.
With all the stories around NK(for example, starvation and spending huge amount of resources building huge empty buildings), maybe one could think that they're focusing almost everything on trying to build nukes and that's probably very damaging to a country.
Why the fuck are there so many powder-kegs just waiting to pop right now? You'd think we could get a few years of everything being nice and calm.
everything is under control there are people out there who make a living out of keeping a tight lid on things over at NK, with all the right equipment and means at their disposal, you can calm down
Yeah man, that tight lid has kept them from developing nuclear weapons and increase the threat they represent quite well.
You guys got it wrong. It's an IKBM ( Inter-Korean Ballistic Missile ). It will blow even before it manages to leave the country.
Yeah man, that tight lid has kept them from developing nuclear weapons and increase the threat they represent quite well.
yeah what a retarded thing to assume that world leading intelligence agencies and various other entities we probably don't know about are keeping a pretty tight lid on a country that has repeatedly threatened them. "oh no they tested a nuke everything is spiraling out of control everybody PANIC" i don't think you even realize how advanced and experienced nations are at espionage. if the western world, particularly the US, doesn't really give a shit about these nuclear tests and supposed "ICBM"s, you probably shouldn't either [editline]9th April 2016[/editline] you just want to feel scared
If I remember right, Russia recently told North Korea that their constant threats of nuking the US could be used against them as support for a preemptive strike. But North Korea just keeps on claiming they'll eventually use nukes on their enemies, at some point enough will be enough. We just have to hope that we can figure out which missile launch will be nuclear and shoot it down before its too late.
Why the fuck are there so many powder-kegs just waiting to pop right now? You'd think we could get a few years of everything being nice and calm.
Instead of actually acting they've been fucking passing out Angry Letters for years, or just carpet bombing the east and pissing everyone the fuck off.
We just have to hope that we can figure out which missile launch will be nuclear and shoot it down before its too late.
I doubt it will be a problem. U.S missile defense is designed to deal with enemies far more advanced and dangerous than NK. The U.S has probably prepared itself to deal with countries like Russia and China, they could easily shoot down a missile or several launched by DPRK. North-Korea has 0% chance of actually landing a missile on U.S soil, it would be suicide to even attempt such an attack.
They're nearly ready for the Underwater Wars of 2018
They're nearly ready for the Underwater Wars of 2018
I wouldn't be mocking what got them to this point.
