A Rainbow City woman filed suit in federal court alleging police used Tasers on her and her teenage daughter after the girl suffered a seizure at a concert Jan. 16 at Center Stage, and her mother came to help her. The lawsuit lists Rainbow City, Police Chief Greg Carroll, officers George Morris, James Fazekas and Justin Gilliland, and two unnamed officers; the city of Gadsden and three unnamed Gadsden police officers; and Center Stage as defendants. The lawsuit claims Rainbow City officers Tased a 49-year-old and her minor daughter, and that Gadsden officers failed to stop them. The woman’s minor daughter is not identified by name in the lawsuit. Because identifying the mother would identify the daughter as well, her name is not being published here. How could you be monumentally stupid enough to not even understand that the girl was sick? For fuck's sake, they even joked about having her committed and threatened the kid's mother with losing custody of her child. Whatever punishment they get for this has to make such an example that it should serve as an object lesson against this level of cruel insensitivity.
So you see a middle aged woman and a girl on the ground and the best course of action you come up with is tazing them both? That sounds to me like somebody really wanted to use a tazer.
What. The. Fuck. This is god damn infuriating. Everyone involved should never be a cop or security guard again.
Tazers were pushed as an alternative to using your firearm so without tazers the mother and child would have been shot! This is clearly the better outcome /s

These officers should be apprehended immediately & stripped of their privileges as police officers. That is not a way to deal with a medical emergency that could have killed this young woman. Seizures are not to be played down as just mental retardation, there are many cases of people literally choking on their own saliva due to all of their bodily functions have failed because of the seizure.
I really do not understand how people like this can be a police officer, yet some people that I know who are not near as hot headed, cannot even get considered even after they took the courses.
"haha day luk like dey gettn tazd" "u forg8 to tayz" "dur u go lol"

Using a tazer, something pushed as an alternative to shooting and KILLING someone with a firearm, for a seizure is insane.
This article seems kinda fishy. All of the details in it come exclusively from the lawsuit, and theres a lot of blank spaces left to fill. If the cops really did start tazing them just because they refused to move then that is really fucked up though.
Tazers are not an alternative to a gun no one trains that mentalitly. Tazers are just another tool in a physical confrontation.
what
I assume it was a sarcastic post targeted at what was going on in the minds of the accused.
Everyone involved absolutely needs to be fucking fired, none of this "oh put them on paid suspension, they'll learn their lesson..." Fuck that. Nobody likes bad bacon, get rid of them.

These guys need to lose their jobs. Assuming there's nothing else we don't know about.

Remember reading a story that some guy with diabetes was approached by cops and was beat the fuck up because they thought he was resisting, but he was actually having a seizure.
