Alaska-based military policeman will serve 16 years in prison and will be dishonorably discharged for selling secrets to an FBI undercover agent who he believed was a Russian spy, a panel of eight military members decided Monday.Spec. William Colton Millay of Owensboro, Ky., pleaded guilty last month to attempted espionage and other counts. Military prosecutors painted him as a white supremacist who was fed up with the Army and the United States, and was willing to sell secrets to an enemy agent, even if that would cost fellow soldiers their lives.
Cold War still going on eh?
Or he was actually selling secrets to foreign governments.
stupid man
Cold War still going on eh?
Since the end of the Cold War, America no longer has secrets that are potentially harmful to it's citizens and investments. That's why it was completely alright with Julian Assange, right?
16 years? Thats all? He's lucky. I'd imagine they would have gave him life, or put him on death row for that matter. I think espionage can be counted as treason, and which treason is still punishable by death.
