Ok, so, randomly I am getting about 5 different BSODs, one is the driver IRQL_lessthan, one is saying something about a driver exceeding some stacked and my computer thinks its a virus, I am also getting one BSOD about ntfs.sys, and one about system32.sys. The worst part is, they will happen randomly and with no warning, so no time to save a project if its about to crash... As of right now i think i am going to need to reinstall vista, but if anyone knows how to fix these wothout having to wipe everything that would be great. Also, when these do occur, its either in the first 5 minutes of my computer turning on or hours after. Any additional info just comment what you need
might be a virus, scan with Spybot S&D
are you sure it is talking about the CORRECT system files? A virus may hid it's self as system32.sys or any other file.
snip
@General Omega, I'm not 100% sure but the next time it BSODs I'll write it down
Update your Anti Virus, run a slow/thorough scan.
Run Malwarebyte's anti-malware
run Spybot Search and Destroy.
Ok, so nothing comes up for Malware or Spybot, and the most recent BSODs are for win32k.sys and Ntfs.sys
If all else fails, back up your data using a linux live cd, then reinstall windows.
Exactly the words i hate to hear :(

Unfortunately, sometimes it's really the best option. I don't know a single person who says "I have to reinstall Windows" with a hint of joy.
haha, but yeah, another new BSOD, Page_Fault_in_Non_Paged_Area

Hello Java Llama!
I suggest we start with the most common of problems and work our way up shall we?
First lets try scanning for viruses and malaware a good antivirus program can be found here
http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage
Also we will use malaware bytes to search for any malaware that may be harming your computer http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Be sure to run a full system scan and do this in safe mode you can access safe mode by hitting F8 at boot up and make sure it is SAFE MODE NO NETWORKING. Once you've done this report back.
I think page file is memory related.
Avast blows avg out of the water.
In the time you took to ask us what's wrong you could have windows reinstalled (backed up beforehand).

Avast is known to cause BSOD's on windows 7 this is why I dont recommend it.
And you are correct page file is memory related.

Um no.
BSODs are caused by hardware or low-level software or drivers.
So run memtest86+ first (if you're on W7 you can also try Windows Memory Diagnostic). Then reinstall drivers if that comes up clean. If that doesn't fix the issue, reinstall any antivirus software you may have.
Reinstalling any recent windows updates is also worth a shot. I had some issues after installing KB980182, so if that's in your list uninstall it and see what happens.
Um no.
Think what you want I've seen a few dump files where avast was causing a bsod from experience I only recommend AVG or Microsoft Security Essentials. You can do what you want I really don't care
