I have an EVGA 680i LT motherboard.
I'd like to move my 8800gt to the bottom PCI-E slot, as there are two.
The problem is that I'm getting an error on boot.
It says that for non-sli operation I need to keep it in the first or second slot.
Anyone know how to get around it?

Just leave the card in the top slot.
I'd rather not.
It's blocked, kinda, by a heatsink.

There isn't a way around it. So leave it in the top slot.
Most SLI motherboards require that, if you only have a single video card, that the card be in the top slot. Some will work with it in the bottom, but I've seen many that won't boot if it's not in the top. You're just going to have to deal with it.
